The Ministry of Homefront Defense has joined forces with ISDEF and will be the official sponsor and host of the conference led by the Minister himself, General Matan Vilnai. The focus of the Homefront Defense Con-ference will be: Safe City, Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management. The speakers include leading decision makers from the Israeli Government, senior officials from the Ministry of Defense and top ranking Generals from the military. This conference will take place on October 31st following the Opening Day Cer-emony of ISDEF 2011.
November 1st
The world renowned International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) will host the conference on Novem-ber 1st. The ICT is the leading academic institute for counter-terrorism and HLS in the world. Among the founders are Executive Director, Dr. Boaz Ganor, Head of the Homeland Secu-rity Study Programs at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC), Herzliya, Israel, and Shabtai Shavit, former Head of the Mossad, Israel›s Intelligence Services.
