Industry Visit to Mother Dairy Plant, Parparganj New Delhi
The 7th day of orientation program was planned to provide an industry exposure to the students
with a visit to the Mother Dairy Plant at Parparganj. The students assembled at T-block in the
morning and departed for the visit at around 9:30 AM. The students were accompanied by four
faculty members- Dr. Rajat Gera, Dr. Bhavesh Joshi, Ms. Ridhi and Ms. Shilpa.
The visit began with the screening of a short film and presentation providing a deep insight into
the journey of the venture and its establishment into a successful company. The presentation gave
knowledge about how Mother Dairy was established as a cooperative unit collecting milk from
farmers in rural areas and marketing it in urban areas. Students were taken through the production
facility including the quality check of milk samples in the quality control department,
pasteurization process and the packaging and storage, until the products are sent out for
delivery. The students very actively walked through the plant with the officials who explained the
whole process of manufacturing and packaging of milk and other milk products. Students were
taken through the wide range of products which are manufactured in the plant, including milk,
curd, and paneer. The salient feature of the plant was the Waste Water Management initiative in
which water used in the production process is filtered and let out in open areas for plants.
Students felt a sense of pride to learn about the indigenous, local brand which is working with
international standards today.
Visit to Sarvodaya Hospital, Faridabad
Deptt. of Management Studies (FMS) organizes visit to Sarvodaya Hospital
In pursuit of providing hands on, experiential inputs, Faculty of Management Studies organized a
visit to Sarvodaya Hospital for students of MBA Healthcare (2018-20 batch) on July 3, 2019. The
students were accompanied by Dr. Priyanka Singh-Chairperson, MBA Healthcare and Mr. Rohit
Checker-faculty member, MBA Healthcare.
The visit was facilitated by Manager- Training and Development, Sarvodaya Hospital- Ms. Jyoti,
Assistant Manager who introduced the students to the working environment and the vision and
mission of the hospital along with the specializations they are offering. Post the first introductory
session, the Medical Administrator at Sarvodaya Hospital- Dr. Sourbh Gahlote apprised the team
from FMS about the expectations and demands of healthcare industry along with a brief
explanation of the non-medical departments. Students were then made to visit each department of
the hospital- the functioning and the infrastructure of the hospital. NABH guidelines which are
followed by the hospital, were explained briefly.
The visit was a true learning experience for students and helped students to understand the
expectations of the healthcare industry.
Industry visit to Munjal showa Pvt. Ltd, Gurugram
Students from Deptt. of Management Studies visit Munjal Showa Plant: April 9, 2019
Deptt. of Management, FMS organized an industrial visit of MBA 2nd year students to the
industrial plant of Munjal Showa at Gurgaon on 9th April 2019. At the plant they have DoJo
(learning) training center where they briefed about their history and collaborations
of Munjal group. The plant at Gurgaon was established in 1985 with collaboration
with Showa Corporation of Japan. Apart from this, Munjal group has a plant at Manesar and
Haridwar. During the visit management students were briefed about total productivity
management (TPM) and lean manufacturing system which they adopt in the production process.
After this, the students visited their shop floor area where lean machines were put to use to
manufacture shockers of bikes and cars.
It was an amazing experience where the students got to know how work is managed in a factory
setting and how TPM is important to run an organization smoothly.

Students of MBA, Sem.II and Sem. IV along with four team members- Dr. Anindita Chatterjee
Rao, Dr. Stuti Sahni, Dr. Sahil Malik and Ms. Manisha Grover visited the VITA plant at
Ballabhgarh on March 26, 2019. The visit was facilitated by the Corporate Relations Centre.

Industry visit to SEBI, New Delhi

Visit to SEBI- March 26, 2019
On 26 March, 2019 the 10th MBA Batch (2018-20) of Deptt. of Management Studies (FMS,
MRIIRS) along with faculty member Dr. Bhavesh Joshi, visited the Securities Exchange Board of
India (SEBI). The visit was organized the our Corporate Relations Centre under SEBI's initiative
of ‘Financial Education Program’ and Investor Protection and Education Fund (IPEF of SEBI).
Following concepts were discussed practically with hands on exercises and experience sharing:
Investments in primary markets through stock exchanges, trading in securities, investment in
mutual funds through the better understanding of Demat account and depositories, collective
investment schemes, buy back of shares, de-listing of securities, takeover regulations and investor
grievance handling.
Instructors from SEBI shared feedback about the event as they found the response of students to
be good as they were able to thoroughly understood the concepts and discuss in length the different
aspects of savings and investing through the stock markets; including the proposed T+0 day
settlement concept instead of T+2 day trading settlement.
Industry visit to NTPC Koldam, Himachal Pradesh
Deptt. of Mgmt. Studies, MRIIRS organizes Outbound Experiential Learning Trip to
Kullu-Manali
(March 14-18, 2019)
The Deptt. of Management Studies (Faculty of Management Studies-FMS), MRIIRS organized an
outbound training trip to Kullu - Manali for students of MBA (Batch 2017-19). On the 5- days tour
from 14th to 18th March 2019, the students were accompanied by 4 faculty members (Dr. Meghna
Chhabra, Dr. Anindita Chatterjee Rao, Ms. Shilpa Arora and Dr. Sahil Malik). The trip was
planned to give students an opportunity to experience something beyond the classroom teaching.
It is to encourage students to go for learning by doing and to develop their potential and
performance. The itinerary was planned by students, with the guidance of faculty members. During
the stay at Manali, students visited local prominent spots and tourist attractions like Solang valley,
Hadimba Devi Temple enhancing their group dynamics. On the penultimate day students camped
along Beas river where they had the opportunity to undertake team building exercises like treasure
hunt, leadership role play and survival exercise. On the way back, students
visited NTPC’s Koldam hydro power project situated in Bilaspur district in Himachal
Pradesh. Students were keen to visit the dam and on reaching the dam site NTPC officials briefed
them about the dam and inbuilt capabilities. It was the last halt of the outbound training trip after
which the trip culminated at MRIIRS campus. This outbound training trip was organized and
planned in the interest of the students as a constant endeavor from the department to deliver best
education and environment.
Industry visit to Coca Cola Happiness Factory, Greater Noida

Eighty students of MBA II Sem along with four faculty members Dr. Priyanka Singh , Ms.
Amandeep Dhaliwal (12th March) & Dr. Meghna Chhabra and Dr. Farhat Mohsin (13th March)
visited Moon Coca Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd., Greater Noida, popularly known as "Happiness
Factory" on 12th and 13th March, 2019 respectively. The waiting area has nostalgia moments with
old advertisements of Coca-Cola adorning the lounge walls. The entry to the Happiness Factory is
via a door rightly called ‘The Vault’. The visit began with the introduction of Happiness Factory
Coco Cola by Saurabh Singh, Marketing Manager. The Happiness Factory is a concept developed
by Coca-Cola wherein the invitees are taken on a tour of fun filled Coca-Cola themed museum
along with production lines. The students were informed that the factory produces 600 cold drink
cans and 240 Mazaa and Minut
Industry visit to CCI, New Delhi
A Report on the Industry visit at CCI, New Delhi.
FACULTY OF Management Studies, MRIIRS, organised a visit to Container Corporation India
(CCI) for MBA International Business II Year students.The ICD Tughlakabad is one of the oldest
but most modernised, dry port which handles imports and exports bound containers through
railways from gateway ports like Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai or by road like Kandla, Haldia
Kolkata. ICD Tughlakabad has Exports and Imports clearances in its premises. While the Indian
Customs handle the all clearance related to Imports & Exports, the Container Corporation
(CONCOR) is a custodian of the premise and the CISF undertakes all security related aspects. The
Senior Manager technical, Mr. Arshad Khan met the students and cleared their doubts. He
explained about different kinds and sizes ofcontainers used by CONCOR, proper handling and
storage of containers, different policies regarding auctions and other further activities in concern
with containers and container management. He also briefed about the labor and full logistics
management of CCI. In the exports division, students were shown the formalities related to pre-
shipment inspections, and other warehousing clearances. Students have learned about logistics and
the proper management criteria of the dry port and have an opportunity to research on the company
in future. Overall it was a learning experience for the students.
