Which platforms are supported?

Informate supports iOS, Android, Symbian and Blackberry

How does it work?

Informate has created an on-device metering application called SmartMeter which

captures device usage.

Once the developer’s main application is downloaded on the handset, user permission

is sought for downloading SmartMeter on the device. If the user installs SmartMeter,

the users app usage data is tracked, logged and reported back to Informate servers for

analysis. Only aggregate data is available and individual user data is not identifiable.

Developers get a huge amount of insightful data around handset behavior, usage of

various apps within their category, relative usage of various apps and a lot more.

What engineering integration is needed at the developers end?

The developer is provided a short piece of code to be integrated into their application.

This code is not more than 10kb in size

Post integration, the application can be put into production and the analytics are

available using an online interface
