The Hotel guest miniBar consumption can be transferred via the DOMESH wireless data transfer or alternatively via a cable based data transfer. Drinks and snacks taken from the HiPromatic miniBar are automatically forwarded and recorded by the Dometic mesh network – a data collection and transferal system that works independently
of the hotel Wi-Fi. This is made possible by the unique Flex-Sensing technology, which supplies the HiPromatic miniBar with sensors that automatically recognize when products are removed. This means that, in addition to the advantages of the particularly quiet mechanisms, guests also benefit from a service that maintains their privacy in the long term. In addition to saving on staff costs and the time-consuming logging of product removal during hotel operation, lowest service and longest life time the HiPromatic miniBar also scores points for its environmental friendliness. Plug and PlayA true benefit of Wireless ZigBee Pro Communication
Dometic was the first miniBar supplier who decided to branch out into the independent, wireless ZigBee Pro technology. Installing an automatic system is now as simple as setting up a traditional miniBar.
Using the unique HiPromatic DOMESH network as a basis, the automatic miniBars will communicate inde-pendently from the hotel’s Wi-Fi network. Installation is without cables or wires so the miniBar can be located easily and without disruption or fuss. All the hotel needs to provide is an AC outlet in the room. The new ambient shelves for unrefrigerated products such as red wine, crisps or snacks can be placed anywhere in the room,
which grants a lot of freedom and flexibility to the guest and the hotel.
Wireless ZigBee Pro communication is one of the various ways to transfer miniBar data. The Dometic HiPromatic Communication Network works as a self-organizing mesh network (DOMESH) in which each miniBar operates independently but still communicates with the others. Dometic not only provides wireless ZigBee Pro profile communication, but also provides further methods such as Ethernet and RS485 serial communication.
More independence, more flexibility: The wireless ZigBee Pro communication combined with the HiPromatic DOMESH network opens up numerous possibilities for placing the miniBar in different locations within the hotel room.

HiPromatic miniBars – real-time charging onto the guest bill
The Dometic Flex-Sensing technology is a complete and accurate detection of items that have been taken from the miniBar. The flat sensors measure precisely whether any miniBar items have been consumed and communicate this to the Property Management System (PMS) of the hotel.
The system is maintenance-free as there are no moving parts that could potentially wear out.
The ambient trays are available for eight or ten products. Once an item has been removed from the miniBar, the sale will be automatically reported to the PMS and charged to the guest’s bill.

D-win is an advanced and powerful management tool. It is icon-based, ensures quick and easy operation right from the start, and delivers all crucial operational and management reports. It registers every consumption on the guest’s bill, shows the respective guest status, controls and monitors the miniBars, and includes an advanced stock control system. In Addition to locking and unlocking the miniBars, the cooling temperature of each miniBar can be set individually.

The improved private guest section programming enables the hotel to tailor menus to their specific guests and subsequently target promotional activities to increa-se revenue. Any malfunction of a miniBar, (e.g. da-mage, maintenance needed, communication failure, power failure, or the like) is reported automatically in real time for proactive service. The expiration date of products is closely monitored to avoid unnecessary loss.

How to provide proper ventilation
Correct ventilation is essential to ensure optimum performance, low energy consumption, and a long life. Built-in miniBars need at least 200 cm2 in free air inlet and an air outlet of the same size. Moreover, there should be about 20 mm clearance between the rear of the ca-binet and the furniture wall.
An air grille integrated into the furniture door ensures sufficient ventilation. The miniBar and furniture door can be connected via a sliding hinge, which opens the furniture and miniBar door simultaneously. Proper ventilation can be accomplished even in furniture that reaches higher up. Here again, the air needs to flow freely around the cooling unit and exit unhindered at the top.
