We’ve gone beyond simply washing away a mark

drawn beneath the rim and developed two far

more rigorous proprietary tests to verify that our

toilets thoroughly rinse the bowl with each flush.

Complete Flush

As part of our balanced approach to performance,

we test our toilets against our own strict standards

for light-waste removal, so you can rest assured

with every flush.

Plug Resistance

To help ensure our toilets have the power it

takes to consistently flush well over what the

average person needs and all the toilet tissue

your kids can use, Kohler performs a number

of highly stringent proprietary bulk-removal and

plug-resistance tests. In addition, we participate

in voluntary third-party testing for Maximum

Performance (MaP).

Seat Durability

Our seats go through a series of tests from

stain-resistance to load-bearing and open/close

cycle testing to ensure they stand up to daily

wear and tear.

Fully Glazed Trapways

We apply glaze to the trapway – the

passageway inside the bowl – of all KOHLER®

toilets, creating a smooth surface that ensures

a strong, complete flush.

Dynamic Flow Profile

In order to optimize water velocity and

flushing power, we study the speed and

force of water as it moves through the tank

and bowl.

We design and test our toilets to provide you with all-around exceptional performance – that means great rinsing power and plug-resistant flushing. We measure over 1,000 attributes for each toilet we design to ensure a balanced, complete flush.
