TheSL50Estratifiedchargingstationenablestheloadingofabuffertankdependingonthetemperature.Stratifiedlayerloadingisspeedregulated,energyefficientandsuitableforlargebuffertanks.

TheSL50Estratifiedchargingstationisusedforconnectingasolarcollectorsystemofupto50m²toabuffertank.Thesolarheatfromthecollectorsystemistransferredtothebuffersystemwithhighly-efficientheatexchangers.Thereby,itprovidesanintelligentcontrolsystem,dependentonsunlight,foroptimuminteractionbetweenthesolarandbufferloadingpumpandguaranteeshighheattransfercapacity.Thestationisspeedregulatedfromthebuffersideanddependentonthetemperatureoftherespectivetanktemperaturezone.

Installation and Commissioning

Theerectionandinstallationmustbedonebyanapprovedtechnicalfacility.Thisfacilitywillalsotakeontheresponsibilityforcorrectinstallationandcommissioning.Adry,frost-freeroomthatprovidessufficientspaceformaintenanceworkis requried as the installation site.Thestratifiedchargingstationmustbeinstalledsothatitisprotectedfromsplashingwaterandmayonlyberunatroomtemperaturesbelow40℃.
Positioning
Itisrecommendedthatinstallationtakeplacenearthebuffertankinordertopreventheatloss.Thisshouldtakeplaceonalevelandstructurallysuitablesurfacethatisprovidedforlevelingadjustablestandfeet.
Pulling too hard on the installation screws damages the isolation.Wall installation
Wallinstallationtakesplaceasfollowswiththeincludedattachmentmaterial(3xM8stairbolts,M8nutsand3M8washers):
• Drill at least 8 cm deep on the designated drill points with a ø 10 mm drill according to the drillling template included.• Afterwards,insertthewallplugintotheholeandscrewthestairboltsintothewalluntilthewallplugthreadsarenolongervisible.• Now,hangthestratifiedchargingstationonthethreadedstudsandinstallitwithnutsandwashers.

Theinstallationorderhastobefollowedforalllinesandfittingsinordertopreventelectro-chemicalcorrosion.• Installationofagravitationalheatingsystemisnotpermitted!• Connectionofthecollectioncircuitexpansiontankmusttakeplaceasadirectconnection.• Installationofshut-offvalves(exceptforsuitablemaintenancemoduleslikecapvalves)isnotpermitted!• Connectionshavetobetightenedonlyafterthetubinghasbeensealed.Tighteningtorqueand/orforceeffectson
preinstalledstationcomponentsandjointsmustbeavoided!
Additionally,checkallflatsealingscrewsforproperswivelnuttighteningtorque(screwscanbecomelooseduringtransport!).

Internalwiringofelectricalequipmentisconductedonsite.Connectiontothepowersupply(230V/AC,50Hz)takesplacebymeansofthepreclampedsupplycable.Thebuffersensorsincludedareinstalledontherespectivebuffertankmeteringpointsandconnectedtotheaffectedcontrolclampsaswellasthecollectorsensorincludedinthescopeofdelivery.Detailledinformationabouttheintegratedcontrolinthestationcanbefoundinthecontrollermanual.
Workonlivestationpartsmustonlytakeplaceunderconsiderationfortherespectiveguidelinesofthepowercompanyandvalid,correspondingstandards.
Commissioning
Onlyusewaterpreparedaccordingtothestandards(e.g.ÖNORMH5195-1:2010).Alllinesmustbediffusionresistant.
Fillingandcommissioningmustbedonebyanapprovedtechnicalfacilityandconcessionarypersonnel.Here,thefunctionandtightnessagainstleaksoftheentireplantincludingthepartsassembledinthemanufacturingworksshouldbechecked.Safetyvalvefunctionalityhastobecheckedatregularintervals.Annualmaintenancebyanapprovedtechnicalfacilityisrecommended.Slowlyopeningtheballvalveonthestationinletsandoutletspreventspressureblowsduringcleaningmode.Usethecleaningconnectionsprovidedforfillingthecollectorcircuit.See"Stucture".
Thefillingandrinsingmustbecarriedoutuntilitisensuredthatthesystemiscompletelyde-aerated.Flownoisesduringbuf-ferpumpoperationindicatethatthereisstillairinthemachinethatcanberemovedviathepumpandmanualprimer.
Closethecollectorreturnlineattheendofthefillingprocessandadjustthesystempressuretoapprox.3bar(thisappliestoexpansiontankswithasystempressureof2.5bar,thestaticheightofthemachinemustbetakenintoconsiderationaswell).
Beforeopeningthecontrolboxhousing,ensurethatitisdisconnectedfromthepowersupply!
Donotfillindirectsunlight,becausethiscanleadtosteamhammering!

Cleaning and filling the collector circuit
Thefillingandrinsingmustbecarriedoutuntilitisensuredthatthesystemiscompletelyde-aerated.Flownoisesduringcollectorpumpoperationindicatethatthereisstillairinthemachinethatcanberemovedviathemanualprimer
Beforestartingwiththecleaningand/orfillingprocess,pleasereadcarefullythroughthefollowingpointsthoroughly!
Solar-side (collector side)
• Onlyglycolwatermixtures(frost-resistanttoatleast-25°)maybeusedforfillingthesolarcircuit• Beforestartingwithcleaningandfilling,ensurethatallconnections(solarforward/returnflows,etc.)
are provided with correct seals and are tightly connected.• ConnectthefillpumpforwardflowtoKFEvalveA(fillingnozzle).• ConnectthefillpumpreturnflowtoKFEvalveB(purgingnozzle).• First,openKFEvalveA(handleinflowdirection).• Now,openKFEvalveB(handleinflowdirection).• Startthecleaningprocessofthesolarcircuitbyswitchingonthefillingpump.• Letthepumprununtiltheglycolwatermixtureflowsbackintothetankwithoutbubbles.• CloseKFEvalveB(handleagainstflowdirection).• Pay attention to the gauge.• Whenthegaugehasreachedthedesiredoperatingpressure,closeKFEvalveA(handleagainstflowdirection).• Now,thepumpcanbeswitchedoffandthefillingpumpconnectionscanbedisconnectedfromtheKFEvalvesAandB.• Thesolarcircuitisnowcompletelyfilledandreadyforuse.• Shouldairnoisebediscoveredinthecircuitduringoperation,thenbeginwithpoint1again.
Buffer-side
• OnlyheatingwatermustbeusedaccordingtonormÖNORMH5195-1:2010forfillingthebuffercircuitandbuffertank.• Beforestartingtoconnecttheconnectionlinesfromthestationtothebuffertank,
closeballvalvesC,DandE(handleagainstflowdirection)onthestation• Beforestartingthefilling,makecertainthatallconnectionsareprovidedwithcorrectsealsandaretight.• Now,openallvalvestotheconnectionlinesonthebuffertank.• Now,openvalveC,thenvalveDandfinallyvalveEonthestation.• Ifnowaternoiseisheard,switchthebuffercircuitpumponmanually.• Letthisprocessrunforseveralminutes.Afterwards,switchthepumpoff.• Ventthebuffertankandtop-offwithheaterwaterifnecessary.• Thebuffercircuitisnowcompletelyfilledandreadyforuse.
