SECTION 1 Background & Purpose
1.1 Scope
Please note that this document applies to external computers only. If you are using a
Woodbridge‐supplied computer, you do not need to install a WPA security certificate. One has
already been installed for you. When navigating to secure Woodbridge sites on your computer,
choose the security certificate that pops up, most likely your Woodbridge user name.
1.2 Replacement for VPN Connections
Historically, in order to connect to Woodbridge internal sites, users have needed to establish a
Virtual Private Network (VPN) connection. This is no longer necessary. This document will walk
you through the steps required to install a security certificate that will allow you to connect
directly to the following secure Woodbridge sites:

1.3 Certificate Request Form
To get started, visit http://www.woodbridgegroup.com/world‐polyurethane‐alliance‐
applications/ and click on Certificate Request Form.
Fill out the form and a security certificate will be emailed to you.
1.4 Specific Instructions
The installation varies slightly based on your operating system. Please see the appropriate
section.

SECTION 2 Installation for Internet Explorer & Google Chrome Windows 7 OS
This section will walk you through installation of the security certificate within Internet Explorer
and Google Chrome browsers on the Windows 7 platform. Once complete, you will no longer
need to use a VPN connection to connect to Woodbridge secure sites.
Please note: The installation steps are different for Windows 8 and for Firefox. If either of these
situations apply to you, please refer to the Table of Contents to find the appropriate section for
your installation.

1. Double‐click on the file that you received via e‐mail called wpacertuser.pfx. This will automatically launch the installation.
2. Click Next.
3. Browse to the location of the wpacertuser.pfx file, most likely in your Downloads folder. Click Next.
4. Enter the Security Certificate password: “wfc” and click Next.

5. Click Next.
6. Click Finish.
7. Click OK.
You have successfully installed the Security Certificate on your computer. Repeat this process
for any additional Internet Explorer and Google Chrome browsers on the Windows 7 platform.

SECTION 3 Installation for Internet Explorer & Google Chrome Windows 8 OS
This section will walk you through installation of the security certificate within Internet Explorer
and Google Chrome browsers on the Windows 8 platform. Once complete, you will no longer
need to use a VPN connection to connect to Woodbridge secure sites.
Please note: The installation steps are different for Windows 7 and for Firefox. If either of these
situations apply to you, please refer to the Table of Contents to find the appropriate section for
your installation.

SECTION 4 Installation for Firefox Windows 7 & 8 OS
This section will walk you through installation of the security certificate within Internet Explorer
and Google Chrome browsers on the Windows 8 platform. Once complete, you will no longer
need to use a VPN connection to connect to Woodbridge secure sites.
Please note: The installation steps are different for Windows 7 and for Firefox. If either of these
situations apply to you, please refer to the Table of Contents to find the appropriate section for
your installation.

1. From your Firefox browser menu, go to Tools>Options.
2. Click on Advanced and then the Certificates tab. Click the View Certificates button.
3. Click Import.

4. Browse to the location of the wpacertuser.pfx file, most likely in your Downloads folder. Click Open.
5. Enter the Security Certificate password: “wfc” and click OK.

7. Click OK.
You have successfully installed the Security Certificate on your computer. Repeat this process
for any Firefox browsers on Windows 7 or 8 platforms.

SECTION 6 Installation for iOS
This section will walk you through installation of the security certificate on an iOS device
(iPhone or iPad). Once complete, you will no longer need to use a VPN connection to connect to
Woodbridge secure sites. Repeat this process on any remaining iOS devices.
1. Double‐click on the file that you received via e‐mail called wpacertuser.pfx. This will automatically launch the installation.
2. Click Next to begin the installation.

3. Enter your passcode. Note: This is your device password.
4. Click Install to move to the next screen.
5. At the pop‐up warning, again click Install.
6. Enter the Security Certificate password: “wfc” and click Next.

7. Click Done.
You have successfully installed the Security Certificate on your iOS device. Repeat this process
on any remaining iOS devices.

SECTION 6 Troubleshooting
6.1 MULTIPLE CERTIFICATES
You may have multiple certificates installed on your local machine. In that case, you may be
presented with a pop‐up window requiring you to choose the correct certificate. In that case,
simply select wpacertuser and click OK to proceed.

6.2 ERROR MESSAGES
If you receive a 404 error message when connecting to a Woodbridge secure site, you have
most likely not installed the Security Certificate correctly. Please refer to the appropriate
section of this document for your Operating System and reinstall the Security Certificate. If you
continue to have problems connecting, please place a support ticket.
