ZDL 300-17 • 7/11 Zep INDUSTRIAL DISPENSING SOLUTIONS INSTRUCTIONS Directions For Operating Zep® Model “B” Sprayer 1. Work with your Zep Sales Associate to select the proper chemical / solvent for your application. 2. Remove Filler Cap from sprayer. 3. Fill sprayer 2/3 full with the Zep chemical/solvent. Leave 1/3 of tank for air chamber. Model B capacity one quart liquid. 4. Replace cap and tighten. 5. Charge sprayer with compressed air by holding standard compressed air chuck on valve stem of Filler Cap. Charge to a pressure of at least 80 pounds (p.s.i.). Maximum pressure should not exceed 200 pounds. 6. Sprayer is ready for use. 7. For best results, the liquid used in the sprayer should be lighter than a No. 10 engine oil. (If liquid is too heavy a pin stream will result.) Dilute with a suitable diluent until desired spray is obtained. CAUTION: Water-based solutions should never be used in sprayers. Valve Lubrication To correct stuck or dragging Valve, loosen Stuffing Box Nut (No. 115) and apply lubricant to the valve stem (No. 110) at the stuffing box (No. 114). Re-adjust Stuffing Box Nut No. 115) for proper action. Model “B” Features Plastic adjustable chrome plated nozzle (#602). Removable cap (No.118) for fast re-filling, re-use. Pressurized by standard compressed air chuck. All brass fittings. Factory tested for safety to 200 pounds (p.s.i.) pressure. Heavy-duty tank construction. Steel (Enameled Blue).
