Purposes

Support a participatory approach to ecosystem based planning and management in coastal zones. p g g

Assist the development of solution‐oriented plans for coastal zones with special attention to the integration of the surfacezones, with special attention to the integration of the surface waters, groundwater and aquifers, and biodiversity management.

Integrate climate change as a cross‐cutting issue throughout the planning and implementation process.

Objectives 

Pursue coherent multiple policy goals in the same or overlapping space in the coastal 

zone 

Ensure that policy instrument mixes mutually supportive in the pursuit of policy goals 

Produce policy outcomes appropriate to specific coastal zone problem context

Achieve a shared, efficient and effective use of limited human and logistical resources
