2. MAIN OBJECTIVE

Introduce in the partner countries’ Secondary School context peer tutoring actions which could help migrant students in risk of early leaving school or school failure in order to improve not only their marks but their future opportunities as well.

“a cooperative learning method based on the creation of pairs of students, establishing an

asymmetric relationship between both (one of them plays the role of the mentor and the other

is the mentee), with a known, shared and common objective (i.e: the teaching-learning

process of a subject), that takes place as a consequence of the relationship between both

students, always planned by the teacher” (David Durán, 2004).

6. HOW CAN PEOPLE GET INVOLVED?•Attend a seminar to learn about the issues facing newly arrived migrants and their education.

•Participate as a teacher or student in the pilot testing stages of the Mentor Programme.

•Assist in the development of specific local INTO resources.
