12th International Conference on Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Budapest, Hungary, 29 June to 2 July, 1995

Hotel Intercontinental-Mariott, Budapest, is the Conference Headquarters.

This will be the first occasion that ICOMS is to be held in a former communist country, and will provide an oppor- tunity to meet our colleagues from Eastern Europe.

The Hungarian capital has a wealth of historic monu- ments, castles, museums, art galleries, romantic inns and modern first-class hotels and restaurants. It is uniquely situ- ated on the banks of the beautiful Danube river, which sep- arates Buda from Pest.

The Hotel Intercontinental-Marriott will be the head- quarters hotel and the main Congress site. Rooms are also available at the Forum, Hyatt Atrium and Novotel hotels. These are all situated close together, on or near the banks of the Danube river. Hostel rooms will also be provided, Ibus-Hungary has been appointed as travel agency, and K L M will be the official airline.

Topics for the symposia

Oral and Maxillofacial Implant Surgery Minimally Invasive Surgery (Endoscopic and Laser Sur- gery) Maxillofacial Aesthetic Surgery.

Consensus Conference

Open or Closed Management of Condylar Fractures.

Free papers

There will be opportunities for fellows to submit papers.

Social events

The opening ceremony and reception will be held on Thurs- day evening, 29 June 1995.

An accompanying persons programme is being arranged. Pre- and post-congress tours will be available to other parts of Hungary and to Vienna and Prague.

The 12th ICOMS will provide an excellent opportunity to meet in historic Central Europe, which is undergoing rapid change at present. There will be first-class scientific, social and cultural programmes. We look forward to meeting our colleagues from Central and Eastern Europe, and experi- encing the renowned Hungarian hospitality, good cuisine and fine wines.
