Matthew 7:24-27

Intimacy with Jesus, pt. 4

24―Anyone who listens to my

teaching and obeys me is wise,

like a person who builds a

house on solid rock.

25Though the rain comes in

torrents and the floodwaters

rise and the winds beat against

that house, it won’t collapse,

because it is built on rock.

26But anyone who hears my

teaching and ignores it is

foolish, like a person who builds

a house on sand.

27When the rains and floods

come and the winds beat

against that house, it will fall

with a mighty crash.‖ NLT

1 Thessalonians 1:10 – And they

speak of how you are looking

forward to the coming of God’s Son

from heaven—Jesus, whom God

raised from the dead. He is the

one who has rescued us from the

terrors of the coming judgment NLT

Revelation 20:12, 15 – I saw the

dead, both great and small,

standing before God’s throne. And

the books were opened, including

the Book of Life.

And the dead were judged

according to the things written in

the books, according to what they

had done. 15And anyone whose

name was not found recorded in

the Book of Life was thrown into

the lake of fire.NLT

James 1:22-25 – And remember, it

is a message to obey, not just to

listen to. If you don’t obey, you are

only fooling yourself.

23For if you just listen and don’t

obey, it is like looking at your face

in a mirror but doing nothing to

improve your appearance. 24You

see yourself, walk away, and forget

what you look like.

25But if you keep looking steadily

into God’s perfect law--the law that

sets you free--and if you do what it

says and don’t forget what you

heard, then God will bless you for

doing it. NLT

Our Vision is to love the

Lord our God with all our

heart, soul, mind and

strength and to love our

neighbor as ourselves.Matthew 22:37-38; Mark 12:30-31; Luke 10:27

Our Mission is to go and

make disciples of all nations,

baptizing them in the name

of the Father and of the Son

and of the Holy Spirit, and

teaching them to obey

everything I have

commanded you.Matthew 28:18-20

Our Value is the Truth of

Scripture governing every

area of our lives.John 17:17 & 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Matthew 6:2-4 – When you give a

gift to someone in need, don’t

shout about it as the hypocrites

do—blowing trumpets in the

synagogues and streets to call

attention to their acts of charity! I

assure you, they have received all

the reward they will ever get.

3But when you give to someone,

don’t tell your left hand what your

right hand is doing. 4Give your gifts

in secret, and your Father, who

knows all secrets, will reward you. NLT

As you grow in intimacy with

Christ, you will be content that

He knows all things about you.

Telling people of your income,

credentials and trophies

becomes a non-issue.

What is the Foundation

of Your Life?

The Navigators

Romans 10:17 - So faith comes

from hearing, that is, hearing the

Good News about Christ. NLT

Revelation 1:3 - God blesses the one who reads

the words of this prophecy to the church, and he

blesses all who listen to its message and obey

what it says, for the time is near. NLT

Acts 17:11 - And the people of Berea were more

open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and

they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They

searched the Scriptures day after day to see if

Paul and Silas were teaching the truth. NLT

Psalm 119:9, 11 - How can a young person

stay pure? By obeying your word. 11I have

hidden your word in my heart, that I might not

sin against you. NLT

Psalm 1:2, 3 - But they delight in the law of the

Lord, meditating on it day and night. 3They are

like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing

fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and

they prosper in all they do. NLT

This is how to get

a grip on God’s

Word.
