Pastor Grace NSBI: Exodus
Introducing Today’s SermonPeople listen when we treat them like friends.
Matthew 28:19, 20, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
William Penn said, “If there is any kindness I can show or any good thing I can do to a fellow being, let me do it now, and not deter to neglect it, as I shall not pass this way again.”
When it comes to evangelism, people are much more likely to listen when you treat them like friends. We all need to strive to increase the capacity of our hearts. We should not be off ended because people are “diff erent.” Th e message of forgiveness and salvation in Christ is generally not welcomed until hearts are hungry. Life is composed of “windows of opportunity,” when people’s ears are much more likely to be opened. We want to be available and clear in sharing the life giving message of truth in Christ when people may listen.
Are you sending the Gospel OR bringing the Gospel? Hearts need to be invaded by the love of God. People’s hearts are made receptive when we come to serve. Th e lost must experience the presence and care of a com-mitted ambassador. People do not care what we know until they know that we care.
Th e unbeliever is not the Christian’s enemy. He is the captive of “the god of this world” who would blind the minds of men who do not believe, lest they believe!
When all is said and done – the goal is to take as many others to heaven with us when we go!

MISSIONARY MINUTEHere are some Highlights from this week’s missionary. Read it. It will take you a minute.
Our little ministry in the Eastern Province of Zambia continues to move forward! I will be starting a leadership training course this next week that will last for a year. Although every new church plant has struggles and can face the challenge of spiritually maturing, we see this as a good time for our Zambian men to step up and lead. I will be teaching two groups of men from 3 diff erent churches with the hopes that after our training is completed, the Lord will bring forth a man to pastor at each church location. Th is is a critical time for these men and churches.
Over the last few weeks we have heard some wonderful testimonies of the life changing transformation that is only possible through Jesus Christ. One man, Isaac, spoke of his involvement with the traditional group of Nyau dancers that practice witchcraft and how he often wasted his resources buying beer. He stood before the church and shared how Christ had turned him from his previous life and he now desires to worship and serve Him alone! A young woman, Susan, spoke of how she had attended church for many years but was just truly playing a
game. She publicly confessed her sin and quoted Scripture encouraging others to know Jesus and understand His love and will for their life.
We had a small team from our home church and a supporting church combine together to teach a Family conference and a small Vacation Bible School. Th e time was quite profi table as our people confessed and testifi ed of their excitement to understand how to have a Biblical family. Over 90 children gathered each day to play games, learn new songs, but most importantly hear from the Scripture. Th e team brought forth illustrated lessons from Creation to Christ completing the time with the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Jesus. Th is certainly was a pinnacle moment for some of these children and their hearts were turned from darkness to light. Still, for others, the ground is being worked that we hope will eventually bring forth eternal fruit. While the team was here we were able to do some small projects helping at a local bore hole, making stoves for a kitchen clinic, and painting the walls at the Magwero School of the deaf.
Each week we usually have multiple
visitors that come to see what is happening or just out of curiosity. Many of these people come back week after week and eventually receive the Gospel message! A few weeks ago a Muslim woman came to hear the Truth about Jesus Christ. Please pray for her.
Please continue praying for Savannah – she is doing well with 3 months remaining in her pregnancy. Also, for the men to grasp and become the spiritual leaders of these churches. We always ask you to pray for the spiritual warfare of our work here – we truly want to see many saved and come to the knowledge of the truth!
