the 9th IBAAS International Conference & Exhibition (IBAAS-JNARDDC 2020) to be held in
Raipur, India during November 4 -6, 2020 along with Jawaharlal Nehru Aluminium
Research Development & Design Centre (JNARDDC), India. Aluminium Stewardship
Initiative (ASI) will be holding special workshop during this conference and exhibition.
The title of the IBAAS-JNARDDC 2020 conference is „Sustainability Challenges of Bauxite,
Alumina & Aluminium Industry‟ with one day Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI)
workshop. Raipur, being located near the hub of Indian Aluminium smelters, the 2020
conference and exhibition is being organized in this city in the state of Chhattisgarh. The
conference organizing committee is formulating a world class program focusing on key topics
and issues in the bauxite, alumina, aluminium and aluminium downstream industry and
secondary sectors.
Objectives of the Conference:
Discussion about the latest technological developments, ways & means to increase
the production and productivity of aluminium industry.
Sustainability and environmental issues of aluminium industry.
To review the recent technological developments in the world and their relevance
to Indian aluminium industry.
To review the promising research and development activities aimed at improving

About IBAAS
International Bauxite, Alumina & Aluminium Society (IBAAS) is set up by
professionals active in various fields of aluminium industry and is
registered in India [Registration No. MAH-820/12 (N)]. The society has vast
experience in organizing similar conferences on bauxite, alumina and
aluminium in India, China and Guinea. IBAAS has successfully organized eight International

About JNARDDC
Jawaharlal Nehru Aluminium Research Development and Design Centre
(JNARDDC) is an autonomous body under ministry of mines, Govt. of India.
It is a “Centre of Excellence” set up in 1989 as a joint project by Ministry
of Mines, Government of India and United Nations Development program
and fully functional since 1996. It was set up with a vision to create a
state of the art research institute for the development of technologies and
provide services to both primary and secondary aluminium industries with a special
emphasis on environmental sustenance, energy and material conservation.

Aluminium Stewardship Initiative Ltd was incorporated as a
non-profit public company limited by guarantee in Australia in
June 2015 and is a Registered Charity. It has a global
membership of more than 100 organisations, comprised of companies throughout the
aluminium value chain, civil society organisations, associations and other supporters. ASI
is also a member of the ISEAL Alliance, the global membership association for credible
sustainability standards.
