Find out using this website: https://tsunami.coast.noaa.gov/#/ Assess the capacity of your employees to prepare for and respond to an emergency: - Are employee roles clearly defined in the event of a disaster or emergency? - Are employees familiar with the company’s emergency response/disaster plan? - Are any employees trained in basic first-aid and CPR techniques? - Do employees know point of contact and have a back up communication plan? - Assess if it’s safer for employees to evacuate or shelter at your place of business - Do all employees know which room(s) to meet in? - Will employee’s family’s come to the business? - Is there adequate room for everyone to sit/lay comfortably? If it’s safer to shelter in place, make sure your business has supplies on hand: Water for 14 days; 1 gallon per person, per day Non-perishable food for 14 days Toilet Paper Solar powered generator or battery Paper plates Plywood to cover windows Napkins and/or towels Waterproof plastic sheets Note pads Duct tape Pens/Pencils Plastic bucket w/tight lid (toilet) Ziploc bags Garbage bags Hand cranked flashlight & radio One-page instructions for employees

Have copies of your important paperwork and have them in your emergency go bag (bag/backpack that is easily accessible and easy to carry) and also back up to off site storage or the “cloud”.

In case of evacuation, pack your go bag: Laptop Laptop Charger Portable Printer and Paper Hand cranked NOAA Weather Radio Hand Cranked Flash Light First Aid Kit & Medications Bottled Water (1 gallon per person/day) Nonperishable Food and Utensils

If you must evacuate: Get your go bag Activate emergency evacuation procedures Unplug/Disconnect electronics Update your voicemail message to let customers know the status of your business Lock your office
