Devote 58 days as a congregation learning about and practicing the “true fast” that God has called us to in Isaiah 58:6–7, serving others locally and globally. EDUCATE Teach your congregation about the “true fast” that God commands in Isaiah 58 for eight Sundays with our downloadable PDFs, including: • 8-week set of sermon outlines • 8-week set of slides tied to the sermon • 8-week set of bulletin inserts • 8-week devotional packets for home, Sunday school, or small group use 2. ENGAGE Incorporate the principles of a “true fast” for the next 58 days by performing acts of kindness and service within the home and the community with: 58 Ways to Serve a guide to daily and easy-to-do acts of service and kindness • Use the hashtag #Isaiah58Fast to share on social media of how your church members are engaging in the challenge to encourage others to participate 3. ENCOURAGE Challenge the congregation to participate in a global “true fast” by supporting e Fellowship’ s lifesaving work with a gift of $58 to help 10 needy Jews; $580 to help 100 needy Jews; or a generous gift of $5,800 to help 1,000 needy Jews in the former Soviet Union survive one more day. 4.
