Nuteras is located on the roof of the 200 year old historical building of “Passage des Petits Champs” called Nupera today. It has opened in 2001 and has been one of the “it” places in town for dining and clubbing. Having a magnificent view of the old city

After diner Nuteras becomes a club that attracts a young and hip clientele from locals to foreigners.
The latest addition to Istanbul's malls is also the most exclusive. Itinye Park is home
to Gucci, Louis Vuitton and the usual roll call of designer stores. It's mostly covered,
but there's a more pleasant outdoor precinct area. Among the mall's various
restaurants and cafés.
Kanyon
Kanyon is a mall with a difference. Open to, and yet sheltered from, the elements, its
canyon-inspired design shelters 170 boutique-style shops, a plethora of restaurants,
including branches of fashionable, not to mention the plushest cinema in town.
When it comes to shopping, the accent is on prestige fashion and lifestyle labels,
both local and foreign: the likes of Harvey Nichols, Georg Jenson, Vakko and

The 12th Istanbul Biennial
The Istanbul Biennial, one of the European art world’s most important events, will
occur this year from September to November. As with the title of this year’s Biennial, Untitled (which reveals nothing about the content of the exhibit), the names
of the participating artists will remain anonymous until the exhibit opens. The Biennial – organized by IKSV (the Istanbul Culture and Art Foundation) with the sponsorship of Koç Holding – references both in its title and in its themes the work of
the Cuban-American artist Felix Gonzalez-Torres, an artist known for his tendency to subvert authority both in the artistic and in the political arena.
In addition to more than 50 solo exhibits, there will be five group shows at this
Biennial: Untitled (Abstraction), focusing on the themes of abstraction, politics, and the body; Untitled (Ross), dealing with issues of love, sexuality, and sexual identity; Untitled (Passport), centered around questions of national boundaries,
national identity, and migration; Untitled (History), whose topic is the writing and re-writing of history; and Untitled (Death by Gun), which is concerned with the issue of
gun violence, its perpetrators, and its victims.

How We Move SALT Beyoğlu is hosting a video installation named How We Move consisting of
various artists’ videos on the concept of the “institution.” Regarding institutions as mechanisms for social engineering and limiting certain regulators, curator Nathan
Lee came up with a selection of videos by a wide array of different filmmakers including David Cronenberg, Frederick Wiseman, Alexander Sokurov, Abderrahmane Sissako, Tsai Ming-Liang, and many others.
Having previously worked in as a film critic for Film Comment, the New York Times, the Village Voice, and NPR, Lee teaches at Bard College as well as curating art
projects. In How We Move, Lee’s focus is on the question “What is an institution?” as well as related questions on the how institutions function (or fail to do so) and whom they serve.
