Brief Background • 1889, Fusajiro Yamauchi: -‐selling Japanese playing cards in Kyoto -‐selling western-‐playing cards that become popular so he
made a company called Yamauchi Nintendo & Co. • The name changed: Nintendo Playing Card Co. Ltd. • When the name changed into Nintendo Co.,
Ltd.manufactured games+create the first home-‐use video game system in cooperaSon with Mitsubishi Electric.
• The first one that manufactured portable LCD video games. • Introduced Famicom (Family computer) system in Japan,
later renamed with Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) become popular.
