APPLICATION INFORMATIONSURFACE PREPARATIONProper surface preparation is essential to achieve the full potential of the system.
Steel and Cast Iron should be degreased and then abrasive blasted to SA2½ using a media suitable of giving a minimum 75 micron anchor pattern to achieve optimum adhesion.
Existing Protec II coating should be abraded by flash blasting or mecha-nically abraded, feathered back to the substrate to provide a smooth transition for the repair coating. Dedust and then apply PROTEC II GW as soon as possible afterwards.
