NURSERY

Infants-age 2

We offer a safe, loving

environment!

Pagers are available.

Please be mindful that we are not

equipped to have children over 2 years

of age in the nursery.

Happy New Year! I pray for a blessed new year for you

and your families. I pray you grow in the Lord by leaps and bounds, better equipping you to lead your little

ones. One way to grow is by joining into the ECC Bible reading Project beginning in January. Watch the bulletin and announcements for more information.

Is this the year God is calling you to serve in children’s ministries? Please, call me.

I have lots of opportunities I can talk to you about. We’ll talk about your gifts and passions and find something that will be a perfect fit for you.

Mark your calendar for Mega Sports Camp! Our date has changed for this year. It is going to be Monday June 18 through

Friday June 22. This year’s theme is Team Spirit and the focus is on Jesus and how he modeled team spirit by his interactions

with his disciples. Let me know what you’d like to do.

Have a great January!

2017 SCRIP Update!2017 SCRIP Update!2017 SCRIP Update!2017 SCRIP Update! It has been another successful year of SCRIP sales in 2017! Families

have continued to sign up for the program and accrue money for

their kid’s camp expenses, as well as earn money to contribute to

the Children’s and Youth Ministries at church. The SCRIP account

paid out $7,290.36 in 2017 to offset camp expenses for kids and

families. This brings the total paid out to families since we started the program in 2013 to

$28,295.65. All money accumulated for simply adding an extra step in purchasing

habits, through buying gift cards to make purchases for items they’d buy anyway!

• In 2017, total face value of SCRIP purchased by our program surpassed the ONE

MILLION mark, at $1,071,555.84 for SCRIP purchased since we began the program in

2013.

• Thanks to SCRIP, we were able to give $500 each to Children’s

Ministry, Junior High and High League for the third year in a row.

THANK YOU to all who participate in this program!

Bible ProjectBible ProjectBible ProjectBible Project The ECC Bible Project

How many things matter enough to do every day? Is the

Bible one of them? If an entire church were to read the

Bible together every day for a year, would it matter?

Could it change us and the way we experience the world? Could it change the world?

The heart behind the Bible Project is that everyone at ECC would read scripture for themselves and experience God

ways they never have before. It's an invitation to be

surprised, inspired, convicted and empowered by God's

living Word — by a God who still speaks.

What is it? Just give me the nuts and bolts. It is:

• A daily reading plan that will take you through the entire Bible in exactly one year starting

January 1, 2018.

• An opportunity to read the Bible along with your ECC Staff and others participating in the

Bible Project, all at the exact same pace.

• A challenging, yet zero-guilt approach to reading the Bible together.

• Miss a day? Skim or skip ahead to the day everyone is on. Plus, each new book of the Bible

is a new beginning and chance to dive back in.

• An invitation to get to know your Staff and listen in as we reflect on scripture.

Justin, Terri, Tom, Chuck, and Craig will be taking turns contributing to the weekly Bible Project

Blog with personal reflections on a scripture from that week.

How do I participate?

Your Field Kit (AKA what you need):

1 ) A Bible

Ink-and-paper or digital will both do just fine. If you don't have a Bible, talk to Pastor Justin and

he will arm you with a fresh copy immediately.

2) The Read Scripture APP (optional)

Visit www.readscripture.org to download the app or simply search for "read scripture" in the

Android or iOS app stores.

The App:

• Gives you instant access to the entire 365-day reading plan right on your phone or tablet.

• Automatically tracks your progress and remembers where you left off

• Gives you engaging video-based biblical introductions to each book of the Bible

3) The Reading Plan (Print Version)

For those who don't want to mess around with phones or apps, or who just want a print version around for easy reference, we have the entire 365-day reading plan on a single printed sheet

available at the Guest Services desk.
