NURSERY
Infants-age 2
We offer a safe, loving
environment!
Pagers are available.
Please be mindful that we are not
equipped to have children over 2 years
of age in the nursery.
Happy February, the month we celebrate LOVE!!! What does
that mean to you? How is God calling you to spread his love?
How about loving on some kids? We have lots of opportunities
for you to serve these littlest attenders. Call me and let’s talk.
We’ll find a perfect fit for you in Children’s Ministries.
Mega Sports Camp is on the calendar!! It will be coming to ECC
on Sunday, July 22 through Thursday, July 26. It’s not too soon to
come to me and tell me what you’d like to do. If you volunteered
last year and had a blast, let me know that you want to serve
again this year. If you missed out last year but heard about all the
fun we had, call me. We have a place for you this year!
Our vision in Children Ministries is to partner with parents in helping their children with
their faith journey. We have resources for you. Please let me know if we can help you in
any way.
Have a great month.

The Impact of a
Covenant Kids Congo
Sponsorship • WATER: Clean water springs from new wells. Families fill jugs with clean water that
won’t make their children sick. 37,000+ people have gained access to clean water,
thanks to two new wells and capped springs. Some who had to walk nearly four
miles roundtrip can now reach clean water within yards.
• EDUCATION: Children are going to school and reading clubs. Three new schools
have been built in the city of Gemena, vastly improving education for
approximately 4,000 students, and 11 reading clubs have been started.
• AGRICULTURE: Parents are learning to grow and prepare the most nutritious food.
Their children are growing up healthy and strong, instead of malnourished. Mothers
are attending trainings through women’s agricultural groups, which have impacted
1,050 households, including 2,350 sponsored children. About 2,273 farmers have
been trained on growing nutritious crops.
• HEALTH: Malnourished children are recovering and mothers are receiving better
healthcare. 2,329 malnourished children have been supported with crisis care and
food in nutrition centers, while about 1,200 orphans and vulnerable children have
received healthcare. Meanwhile, 180,310 children have received important
immunizations. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT: Parents are creating new economic
opportunities. They are starting businesses, selling goods in the market, and saving
funds for the future. Women’s savings groups based in the local church work
together to increase their savings and better provide for their families’ futures.
• ADVOCACY: Children are receiving better protection. Small but significant steps are
being made to strengthen the culture of care for women and children. Local child
protection committees have formed at churches. About 4,300 schoolchildren have
been educated in the prevention of early marriage, 160 public officials have been
trained on child protection, and 100 children have been trained in child rights.
• And yet, this is just the beginning! CKC is a 15- to 20-year community development
program.

DID YOU KNOW THERE IS MORE THAN ONE WAY TO HELP THE
MINISTRY OF COVENANT QUILTERS?
sew in the Covenant Quilters room at the LifeHouse. You'd be
sewing pre-cut, very large squares and complete a quilt top in a
very short time . . . Or
take a large-square quilt kit home and work on it when you can. You'll be doing only
the top . . . Or
work at Linda's Lab and do anything from planning, to cutting, to sewing, to finishing
a quilt . . . Or
 we're flexible - offer us another alternative . . . Or
 attend either of the groups.

Bible ProjectBible ProjectBible ProjectBible Project The ECC Bible Project
How many things matter enough to do every day? Is the
Bible one of them? If an entire church were to read the
Bible together every day for a year, would it matter?
Could it change us and the way we experience the world? Could it change the world?
The heart behind the Bible Project is that everyone at ECC
would read scripture for themselves and experience God
ways they never have before. It's an invitation to be
surprised, inspired, convicted and empowered by God's
living Word — by a God who still speaks.
What is it? Just give me the nuts and bolts.
It is:
• A daily reading plan that will take you through the entire Bible in exactly one year starting
January 1, 2018. You can begin at any time, so if you haven’t started yet, it’s okay!
• An opportunity to read the Bible along with your ECC Staff and others participating in the
Bible Project, all at the exact same pace.
• A challenging, yet zero-guilt approach to reading the Bible together.
• Miss a day? Skim or skip ahead to the day everyone is on. Plus, each new book of the Bible
is a new beginning and chance to dive back in.
• An invitation to get to know your Staff and listen in as we reflect on scripture.
Justin, Terri, Tom, Chuck, Amy and Craig will be taking turns contributing to the weekly Bible
Project Blog with personal reflections on a scripture from that week.
How do I participate?
Your Field Kit (AKA what you need):
1 ) A Bible
Ink-and-paper or digital will both do just fine. If you don't have a Bible, talk to Pastor Justin and
he will arm you with a fresh copy immediately.
2) The Read Scripture APP (optional)
Visit www.readscripture.org to download the app or simply search for "read scripture" in the
Android or iOS app stores.
The App:
• Gives you instant access to the entire 365-day reading plan right on your phone or tablet.
• Automatically tracks your progress and remembers where you left off
• Gives you engaging video-based biblical introductions to each book of the Bible
3) The Reading Plan (Print Version)
For those who don't want to mess around with phones or apps, or who just want a print version around for easy reference, we have the entire 365-day reading plan on a single printed sheet
available at the Guest Services desk.
