The Premier Inn site is the type of project they have a lot of experience in delivering. It is also why Quintain, the developer that owns the land at Wembley Park, chose them to work on the site. “They have a lot of experience building hotels,” states Coryn Martin, Project Man- ager at Quintain. “Clients of theirs have included Hilton and Holiday Inn, and they have worked with Premier Inn/ Whitbread in the past; they stood out as the best contractor to use on this project.” Darragh Greenan, Contacts Manager at McAleer & Rushe for W11, says one of the key focuses for them is safety: “We successfully deliver projects on time, with a professional attitude and in a safe working environment – we want to hit milestones promptly, but not at the expense of the safety of our employees.” In his role, Darragh oversees the project from start through to completion, ensur- ing work is completed safely, on time and within budget. Phase One, which completed in November 2016, consisted of installing a range of utilities and drainage, including building a walk- way and installing a section of ENVAC – a sustainable and environmentally friendly waste management system already in- stalled in developments throughout Wembley Park. Phase Two commenced immediately aſterwards, and is the construction of the hotel itself. So far, on the site, McAleer and Rushe have stripped existing landscaping (including old seating), and broken the foundations from a previous building on the plot. They designed the Premier Inn’s foundations around the previous building’s piling, which finished before Christmas when a crane was also erected. Since the new year, they’ve worked on the foundations and drainage for the hotel. The staff on site are key, and whenever possible, McAleer & Rushe employ them from the local community. MCALEER & RUSHE DISCUSS PROGRESS ON W11, PREMIER INN

W11 is the plot of land to the south of London Designer Outlet (LDO) that by summer 2018 will be developed into a Premier Inn. McAleer & Rushe is responsi-ble for delivering this 312-room hotel. As a company, McAleer & Rushe are an award winning specialist Design & Build Contractor and Developer, with over 20,000 hotel bedrooms constructed to date. The Premier Inn site is the type of project they have a lot of experience in delivering. It is also why Quintain, the developer that owns the land at Wembley Park, chose them to work on the site.

“They have a lot of experience building hotels,” states Coryn Martin, Project Man-ager at Quintain. “Clients of theirs have included Hilton and Holiday Inn, and they have worked with Premier Inn/ Whitbread in the past; they stood out as the best contractor to use on this project.”

Darragh Greenan, Contacts Manager at McAleer & Rushe for W11, says one of the key focuses for them is safety: “We successfully deliver projects on time, with a professional attitude and in a safe working environment – we want to hit milestones promptly, but not at the expense of the safety of our employees.”

In his role, Darragh oversees the project from start through to completion, ensur-ing work is completed safely, on time and within budget. He is responsible for man-aging the design team and liaising with the site team, as well as subcontractors and Quintain’s representatives.

McAleer & Rushe have a highly experi-enced and motivated workforce built on strong family values. Key to their approach is working in partnership with clients, maximising the potential of each building, in this case the Premier Inn hotel. CONSIDERATE CONSTRUCTORS & BUILD UK

On Monday 12 December, ten school children from St Joseph’s Catholic Junior School visited the Wembley Park site.

As part of the tour they met Allan Brockwell, Project Manager for Wates Construction, who spoke about different careers in the construction industry and gave a site tour, including seeing a digger in action!

The school group then went on to visit Matt Voyce, Executive Director - Construction for Quintain, who chatted with them about the development work going on across Wembley Park.

It was a fantastic day out and they really enjoyed learning more about construction and getting up close to the sites.
