WWII CHRISTMAS RADIO SHOW

Congratulations to the Cast and Crew on their recent perfor-mance of WWII Christmas Radio Show! The show ran from December 5-December 7, 2019.

On December 12, 2019, students in Ms. Hill’s Senior High French Classes, Ms. Uhly’s Dance Class and Ms. DeKleine’s Art Club visited NYC. They enjoyed a performance by the largest contemporary circus per-forming producer in the world, Cirque du Soleil. Students enjoyed the group’s first ever show based on the Christmas Classic ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. After the performance, students went to Bryant Park, Manhattan’s Winter Wonderland. Here they explored vendors selling food and arts from around the world and had an opportunity to ice skate and ride the world famous Le Carrousel. For the remainder of the trip, students visited famous locations such as Times Square, Rockefeller Center and the Empire State Building. Students also got a sneak peek of the 2020 numbers that will ring in a brand new decade. They also had an opportunity to write on confetti that will be part of the Times Square Celebration.

From the Guidance Office

Happy New Year! It’s hard to believe that the school year is almost half over. Looking forward to 2020… The second quarter ends on January 31st and report cards will be mailed home on Friday, February 7th.

SENIORS: This is such an exciting time for you! College applications have been and continue to be sent, and the anticipation of acceptance letters in the mail is great. Remember to continue to focus on your senior year courses. Colleges require mid-year and final transcripts to show that you’ve completed and passed all of your courses. Many scholarship opportunities have been arriving in the Guidance Office. Please continue to check the Guidance Page on the school’s website on a regular basis for updated information.

JUNIORS: There will be a Representative from the New Visions programs in the areas of Engineering and Health Careers visiting the Guidance Office on January 29th at 11:00am. Interested students can come to the Guidance Office for a pass to attend the meeting. Mrs. Landers will be sending letters home to schedule our junior parent meetings to plan for next year and beyond.

SOPHOMORES: On Tuesday January 21st, we will be taking a field trip to BOCES to visit the CTE programs available. Students have previously signed up to attend (we had to reschedule from December due to weather).

FRESHMEN: Parents please be on the lookout for the 2020-2021 course catalog. Mrs. Mossing will be meeting with students beginning this month. Course selections will be sent home with students after they meet.

7th and 8th GRADE: Reminder! Report cards for the second quarter will be issued on February 7th. If there are any areas of concern, please call the Guidance Office and we can schedule a parent/teacher conference. ** Homework Club continues to run Mondays through Thursdays from 3 pm–4 pm in the library.
