MORE PRODUCTIVE ALL AROUND THE FARM

Since Joseph Cyril Bamford first built a farm trailer back in 1945, we’ve worked hard to develop a comprehensive

range of agricultural machines that deliver the greatest levels of performance for maximum profitability. Today,

we are proud to say that we are specialists in agricultural productivity. That’s why you’ll find that when it comes

to investing in research, development and state-of-the-art manufacturing, no one comes close to JCB.

The JCB agricultural range proves our commitment to constant innovation. Starting in 1977 with specialist agricultural loadall models, the range has grown to include agricultural wheel loaders, the revolutionary JCB Fastrac tractor, the world’s safest side-access skid steer and versatile compact agricultural loadalls. “Never Content” is JCB’s motto, and we will always develop new solutions that meet your needs, both

now and for the future.

Unique side-door entryFarms continue to get busier and the safety of employees is paramount. That’s why JCB designed the world’s only skid steer with side door entry and class-leading all around visibility. That means you’ll never have to risk injury by climbing over attachments to enter the cab or worry what is behind you when reversing. JCB Skid Steers offer unparalleled all around visibility by using JCB’s PowerBoom design, which promotes operator safety, visibility and productivity.

World’s most productive skid steerOperators of ordinary skid steers risk danger everyday by climbing in and out of their machines through the front window, which involves climbing over, or even worse, under attachments. JCB takes the common sense approach – by positioning the door on the side of the machine. What other skid steer design allows the operator to enter or exit a skid steer as safely and easily? None.

Unrivaled visibilityJCB Skid Steers offer 270º of all around visibility – 60% better than any other skid steer. Common sense says the more you can see, the more productive you are and the less likely you are to have an accident. And, because there’s no loader arm on the left side of the machine, JCB Skid Steer operators enjoy a completely unobstructed view on both sides of the machine. Operators will marvel at the comfort and size of the cab, which is on average 33% larger than the competition. Our cab helps to prove the adage: a comfortable operator is a productive operator. The JCB cab features an industry-low noise level and 3 configurations are available – open canopy, cab with heat, and cab with heat and air conditioning.

Exceptional strengthJCB’s PowerBoom contains up to 20% more steel than two arms of an ordinary skid steer loader. This provides the strength to give you a lifetime of productivity, whatever the application. Single booms aren’t new – since 1977, JCB Telescopic Handlers have clearly demonstrated the power of the design.

JCB offers a full range of skid steers in both vertical and radial lift designs to meet the needs of every customer. Vertical lift with ordinary skid steers comes with a compromise – the torque tube restricts rear visibility. This is not an issue with JCB’s vertical lift design.

Fast, efficient and easy to operateThe 3230 Xtra takes the Fastrac concept to new heights, setting incredible standards in comfort, control and performance. The 3230 Xtra is powered by a fuel efficient 7.4-liter SISU 6-cylinder engine rated at 220 hp.

The P-TRONIC transmission on the 3230 Xtra is an all new design, engineered and built by JCB. It’s a 4-range, 6-powershift transmission that gives you 24 forward speeds and 9 reverse speeds with smooth, fingertip-controlled direction changes. Different operating modes are selected using the touchscreen monitor with manual shifts made via the seat mounted joystick. Auto-shifting triggered by changing engine load makes life easier for the operator who can concentrate on steering and implementing performance. Ride comfort on this machine is second to none. In addition to the innovative self-leveling rear suspension, which maintains a set ride height regardless of load, standard rear linkage and 540 / 1000 rpm Power Take Off (PTO) and optional 7700 pound front three-point linkage and PTO ensure maximum versatility and productivity.

Power, speed and controlWhen we created the 280 hp and 307 hp JCB 8280 and 8310 Fastracs, we created something unique. First, at the very heart of the 8000 Series Fastracs is the V-Tronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT). This increases operational potential in the field by giving you uninterrupted acceleration and deceleration, a number of different operating modes and easier direction changes for simpler operation and handling. Second, because this machine can travel up to 43 mph, you need to know you have stopping power as well as excellent directional stability and control, particularly in wet conditions. That’s what you get from our twin caliper, semi-truck standard braking system, with ABS standard. In fact, JCB is still the only manufacturer to produce a high-draught agricultural tractor that can be legally classified as a high-speed tractor.

Industry leading comfortA comfortable operator is a productive operator. JCB achieves high levels of comfort with front and rear suspension together with equal weight distribution.

The full suspension system is designed to deliver consistent ground force from the tires, maximizing traction and minimizing compaction. The tires themselves are slightly unequal, optimizing performance while maintaining near 50/50 weight distribution and a true 4-wheel drive system with an excellent turning radius.

Front and rear progressive suspension, together with anti-roll bars, also means that the 8000 Series Fastracs safely and comfortably handle road travel. And in the field, they smooth out rough conditions so you can work faster, longer and be more comfortable, maximizing your productivity and earning potential. Finally, add the finest cab in the industry, a superb, spacious environment with an amazing array of essentials and luxuries including full-size passenger seat, excellent ventilation and climate control, and lots of extra features such as an advanced touchscreen and headland management.

Maximum power and productivityAs farming operations continue to get bigger, our customers have asked for increased productivity and performance. JCB responded to the challenge by developing the all-new 550-80 Agri Plus, with a maximum lift capacity of 11,000 lb and a maximum load over height of 26 feet 7 inches. The new 550-80 adds increased lift capacity, extra lift height and forward reach with high flow hydraulics to an already robust list of standard equipment.

The 550-80 utilizes a ‘Z’ bar front linkage between the hydraulic tilt ram and the carriage, a first for the Loadall product. This design maximizes the force generated by the piston side of the hydraulic ram, which in conjunction with the ‘Z’ bar linkage creates a massive “tear out” force of 14,600 lb, allowing the operator to easily fill the bucket and improve productivity.

To compliment this new ‘Z’ bar linkage the boom structure has been designed with increased steel to match the demands of the high tear out capability. The heavy duty boom structure uses 1/2 inch thick steel to ensure

increased strength and rigidity to handle the most demanding jobs on the farm. The JCB one piece chassis has also been designed with this in mind and features 1 inch thick steel side plates, while an optimum wheelbase provides maximum stability and operating at height. The integral hydraulic tank adds structural integrity to the frame and provides additional cooling for the hydraulic oil, ensuring you won’t overheat even on the hottest day. All hydraulic rams are centrally mounted on their pivot point to ensure a symmetrical load on pins and bushes.

The 550-80 utilizes an electronically controlled variable flow pump generating a maximum hydraulic flow of 37 gpm. This system, combined with high flow pipework, a fully proportional closed center valve block and an electric servo joystick, creates extremely fast hydraulic cycle times for maximum productivity. Additionally, the 550-80 is fitted with an innovative hydraulic regeneration system that utilizes gravitational force to aid the boom lower and retract functions. This feature reduces the energy input required in these operations. Hydraulic cylinder end damping is standard on the boom raise and retract functions. This feature slows the speed of the hydraulic rod as it approaches the end of its stroke, improving control of the machine and the load as well as improving operator comfort within the cab. A variable speed, reversible, cooling fan is fitted as standard. This feature reacts to changes in ambient air temperature and adjusts the fan automatically to achieve maximum cooling.

As with all the other JCB Agri Loadalls the 550-80 is fitted with an industry leading side-mounted JCB Dieselmax engine that produces 130 hp and provides great visibility for daily check and maintenance. No matter what the job, you can rest assured that the JCB 550-80 is up to the task.
