portrait of Him in the documents of

ancient non-Biblical manuscripts

confirm that Jesus was a genuine

historical figure who lived in

Palestine in the early part of the first

century.

What makes Jesus different from the

other great religious teachers,

prophets or philosophers?

If any adjective were to describe

Jesus, it would be unique. His message

was unique. The claims He made

regarding Himself were unique. His

miracles were unique. And the

influence He has had on the World is

unsurpassed by any other.

O que faz Jesus diferente dos outros

grandes mestres religiosos, profetas

ou filósofos?

Se houvesse um adjetivo que pudessedescrever Jesus, seria "inigualável"! A

Sua mensagem foi inigualável.

 As afirmações que Ele fez a respeito de

Si mesmo foram inigualáveis. Os

Seus milagres foram inigualáveis. E

mais ninguém superou a influênciaque Ele tem tido sobre o mundo.

Not one of the great recognized religious leaders-

-not Moses, not Buddha, not Confucius, not

Mohammed--ever claimed to be God. - That is,

with the exception of Jesus Christ. In fact, He notonly claimed to be the Son of God, God manifest

in human flesh, but He convinced a great portion

of the World that He in fact is God's Son.

reconhecidas — nem Moisés, nem Buda, nem

Confúcio, nem Maomé — jamais afirmou ser

Deus. Nem um jamais afirmou pessoalmente que

era uma divindade, ou seja, exceto Jesus Cristo.

Na verdade, Ele não só afirmou ser o Filho deDeus, Deus manifestado na carne humana, mas

Another very outstanding and undeniably unique aspect of

Jesus' life is that literally hundreds of detailed predictions and

prophecies were made by ancient prophets and seers, many

centuries before He was born.--Specific details regarding His

birth, life and death, that no mere mortal man could possibly

have fulfilled!

The discovery of hundreds of ancient Old Testament

manuscripts by archaeologists during this century has proven

without a doubt that these prophecies were indeed written

centuries before Jesus was born.

But why would God send His Son

into the world?

God, the great Creator, is a Spirit. He

is all-powerful, all-knowing,

everywhere and in everything—far

beyond our limited human

comprehension. So He sent Jesus, in

the form of a man, to understand us

and show us what He Himself is like

and to bring us to Himself.

Mas porque razão haveria Deus de

enviar o Seu Filho ao mundo?  

Deus, o grande Criador, é umespírito. Ele é onipotente, onisciente,

onipresente e muito além da

limitada compreensão humana. Por

isso, enviou Jesus na forma de

homem para nos entender e nos

mostrar como Ele é e nos trazer

 para Si.

All of us at times have done wrong and

been unloving and unkind to others. The

Bible says, "All have sinned and fall short

of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). The

worst thing about our sins is that they

separate us from God, who is absolutely

sinless and perfect.

Todos nós às vezes fazemos coisas

erradas e somos indelicados e

desamorosos uns para com os outros. A

Bíblia diz: “Todos pecaram e destituídos

estão da glória de Deus” (Romanos 3:23). A coisa pior dos nossos pecados é que

eles nos separam de Deus, que é

absolutamente perfeito e sem pecado.

In order to bring us to God, Jesus, the

sinless Son of God, took the sins of all

mankind upon Himself. He took the

punishment for our sins and suffered the

horrible pain of death by crucifixion. He

died the death of a sinner that through His

sacrifice, we might find forgiveness and

freedom from the wrong things we’ve

done.

Para poder nos levar a Deus, Jesus, o

imaculado Filho de Deus, tomou os pecados

de toda humanidade sobre Si mesmo. Ele

recebeu o castigo pelos nossos pecados e

sentiu a horrível dor da morte por

crucificação. Sofreu a morte de um pecador

 para que, através do Seu sacrifício,

 pudéssemos encontrar perdão e ser

libertados dos nossos pecados.

forgiveness and gift of eternal life, you can right

Thank You, Jesus, for paying the price for my

mistakes and wrongs, so I can be forgiven. I ask

You now, dear Jesus, to please come into my

heart, forgive me, and give me Your gift of eternal

life. Amen.
