Albany NNORC…
Carpe Diem Quote of the Month
We just love when science corroborates advice-column wisdom. Recent research shows that “forgiveness in general is positively associated with better health in terms of the heart, hormones and our immune system.” Learn more at www.tinyurl.com/qho567y. Those who readily forgive are also less likely to suffer from anxiety or depression. But for-giveness doesn’t come easily for many of us. If you’re not a “natural” forgiver, NNORC resident and Carpe Diem author Bob O’Donnell recommends just trying to release the nega-tive feelings engendered by the harm or hurt someone has caused you. And while you’re at it, don’t forget to forgive yourself. If you make this a daily practice, not only will your heart thank you, but we’re betting that you’ll enjoy more restful sleep as well.
“One of the secrets of a long and fruitful life is to
forgive everybody everything every night before you
go to bed.”
– Ann Landers
