What is and what does Jovesolides?JOVESOLIDES is a non-governmental organisation that arises from a group of university young people motivated for the social commitment in a social disadvantaged neighbourhood of Valencia – Spain in 1999. Those youngsters from Valencia but also coming from different countries, could combine their studies with social participation and commitment within the more disadvantaged collectives bringing their time and skills for social actions.

Our goals:From Jovesolides we are promoting equality, tolerance and want to generate local development of communities with less opportunities, where youth are the main key of change for the generation of new opportunities in social, cultural and labor areas, and promoting social inclusion and values as interculuralism, tolerance and human rights.

We believe in:a open-minded to an equal society, breaking down physical, cultural and symbolic borders that are separating society. We search for cooperative actions, where human dignity should be promoted over any cultural or national identity, and we seek for values as democracy, freedom, personal growing and social empowerment of individuals within a collective perspective.

From our organization is focusing efforts to look for development alternatives where young people could generate their own alternatives in social and economic grow that can impact positively in their communities from social entrepreneurship and innovation. Within the conscience of the youth social current requirements we are focusing in our long background promoting youth as social changemakers, wich is one of the strategies in the EU context nowadays.

What are we doing?• We are Sending, hosting and co-ordinating organisation for the European Voluntering Service (2011- ES-130).

• We have participated into one Youth exchange (1.1).

• We are candidate for other actions into Youth in action program and furthermore participated and organized several international events.

• We are applying for diverse calls into other EU programs (Europe for citizens, Europe aid, etc.).

• We can be strategic partner and look for partners for European Programs.

What are we looking for?

We are promoting several of the specific priority areas where now Europe is paying special attention as youth employment, youth leadership, social integration or social innovation and entrepreneurship. Those would be our main areas of intervention where we are searching for potential partners and offering ourself as strategic partner as well.

We want to strengthen European networks with organizations that are focusing in similar issues, in order to share experiences, design and develop interesting and productive social projects and promote social integration and social innovation to empower society.

We are willing to contribute to a more inclusive and active citizenship in the EU context, promoting the participation of youth and including social innovation and entrepreneurship as strategic tools. We offer our organization as partner and want to find new organizations that want to be our partners in future projects.
