Great Guild Meeting Our first meeting of the Bead & Fiber Guild of South Jersey was a great success! Attended by gals of many talents, (beaders, seamstresses, a potter, traditional & crazy quilters, needleworkers), we all enjoyed the talk/demo on Beading in Needlepoint by Stacey Chakov, owner of The Needlepoint Boutique in Collingswood. After demonstrating the important stitches for using beads in needlepoint, everyone tried their hand at the technique! I added in a short talk on beading needles and beads to use with needlepoint. A great time was had by all! Join us for the next meeting, when we’ll welcome Gretchen Hulse, owner of Crescent Moon Clothing, in Moorestown. Gretchen will demo how she hand-carves tiles, which she then uses to hand-stamp some items in her clothing line. Meetings take place the third Wednesday of the month on our 2nd. floor, from 7-8:30 pm. Come with friends, and bring goodies to share! Great Guild Meeting

Our first meeting of the Bead & Fiber Guild of South Jersey was a great success! Attended by gals of many talents, (beaders, seamstresses, a potter, traditional & crazy quilters, needleworkers), we all enjoyed the talk/demo on

Beading in Needlepoint by Stacey Chakov, owner of The Needlepoint Boutique in Collingswood. After demonstrating the important stitches for using beads in needlepoint, everyone tried their hand at the technique! I added in a

short talk on beading needles and beads to use with needlepoint.

A great time was had by all! Join us for the next meeting, when we’ll welcome Gretchen Hulse, owner of Crescent Moon Clothing, in Moorestown. Gretchen

will demo how she hand-carves tiles, which she then uses to hand-stamp some items in her clothing line. Meetings take place the third Wednesday of the month on our 2nd. floor, from 7-8:30 pm. Come with friends, and bring

goodies to share!

Judy’s Excellent PMC Adventure

I am proud to tell you that I have finally gotten certified in PMC! (Precious Metal or “Silver” clay). It was a grueling but exciting 3 days of completing 7 projects... some of which had us muttering under our breath! Newsletter #29- May & June 2008

Create... and forget your stress!

Another Spring... and we’re itching to get outside, resume our warm weather activities, and think about upcoming vacations. Jubili is now open late again

on Wednesday nights, which in the nice weather, attracts many class attendees. But with the craziness in the country’s financial status and gas prices eating into our leisure expenditures, the next few months sometimes seem dreary.

Many of you know my personal story of going from busy, high-powered medical doctor to total disability... and many years later, to opening Jubili. The day I

opened my original tiny store, I stopped crying about the active, busy life and career I had lost. Once I was finally physically able to enjoy crafts again, I was driven to express that part of myself. Besides the love and support of my family

and friends, returning to my creative side is what saved me.

I say this to remind you that despite all the problems in our daily lives, whether they be in the small world of your home and family, or the bigger picture of our country, your creative spirit can help you, too! Engaging in creative endeavors has been shown over and over to help physical and emotional recovery from

major illness and/or surgery. It can lift you out of depression. It is an opportunity to meet new friends, expand your own personal achievements, find

and nurture a part of yourself that you might not have ever known.

Whether you create to give as gifts, to sell, or simply to wear yourself, you gain tremendous pride, a sense of accomplishment, a feeling of stress relief,

relaxation and pleasure when you create something yourself.

During hard or easy times, we at Jubili Beads & Yarns® are committed to helping you find, develop, enjoy and expand that creative spirit in you! Join

us for classes, workshops, and special events. Come and join our great new club, The Bead & Fiber Guild of South Jersey! Sit with us and bead, knit, crochet. Take a class you’ve never taken before. And most of all... give your

children the gift of creativity by having them join in our great variety of kids’ offerings! Better yet, take an “all ages class”, and have fun right along with them! What a great way to build happy memories while having fun with

your kids!

Your creative spirit is there with you through good times, bad times, easy times, and hard times. Share it with us, and we’ll nurture and exalt in it with

you! Looking forward to crafting together!

Warmest regards,

and the Jubili Staff: Jes, Lorraine, Vince, Meredith, Brittany, Kathy and Asminder
