This is me… My name is Julia and

I’m 12 years old. I live in Blanes, in a neighborhood called “Els Pins". I live in a house with my parents and my dog.

I like dancing, and I go to a dance school on Monday and Friday.

This is Catalonia…

We live in Spain, but the community where we are is called Catalonia.

In Catalonia there are four regions Tarragona, Barcelona, Lleida and Girona. We live in Girona in a town called Blanes.

In Blanes there are 40,010 habitants, but in summer we can even triple.

Many cityzens of blanes are immigrants from Andalucía (southern Spain) who arrived in the 60 and 70 to work in industry and construction.

In summer there is a very important firework competition, they come to compete in different places around the world. And the winner gets money and a trophy.
