Forestville Parade — June 2016Fifteen Model T’s arrived for breakfast treats before the parade. We are usually in the front of the parade so we miss the bands from the high schools but we did manage to get behind the high-spirited Spanish danc-ing horses. There were fire engines spraying water, kids waiting for candy that we throw, dogs, cats, goats dressed up in patriotic colors. Lots of patriotic banners due to local elections. We end up at the youth park for the barbe-cue for some really great food.

Thanks to the members who participate every year. The proceeds from the park activities and barbeque support the local youth activites.

    President’s Message

Bring your Model T to the Village Courtyard on Sunday morning and spend the day, have lunch and talk about our favorite subject, the Model T Ford. We will dress in vintage clothing, hand out balloons to the kids, promote our Club and have a wonderful day shopping with and enjoying the Village merchants.

More details to follow but you will need to sign up with Vince Gregoire to participate. This annual event is one that the Club really enjoys. Montgomery Village management is very generous with gift certificates.

In that spirit, only members that fully participate by bringing their Model T’s for display will re-ceive compensation for their participation. No exceptions.

Very Important — Bring a piece of rug to put under your car to catch any drips!!!!

We will meet under the clock tower, on Farmer’s Lane, in Montgomery Village at 8:30 to 9:00 am. Club members dress in vintage attire and plan to spend most of the day until around 3:00 pm. We will have a table set up with applications available, business cards, and The Vintage Magazine.

In June, REMTC Model T’s, visit Apple Valley Rehab in Sebastopol. The patients enjoy seeing the cars and talking with our members and then we share a nice lunch put on by the facility.

The age of most of the patients allows some nice memories of an ear-lier time and is a respite from the day to day routine of rehab.

Thanks to our members for giving of their time and sharing their wonderful Model T’s. I am sure it put a little sunshine in an otherwise long day.
