"My inspiration came from the polo fields in the Hamptons," says Tribout. "We used a bridle-inspired light fixture over the bed, table lamps made from old riding boots. framed horse bits as art. and a series of black-and-white photographs of polo players." The palette was a natural progression. "The white-painted bed was the starting point. Then I painted the walls black to create a strong backdrop for it," adds Tribout. "We shouldn't be afraid to use black. It's simple and elegant."
