Summer weather is (finally) upon us, as the temperatures are climbing into the 90s at press time. If you like nothing more than to sit at the pool, be sure to check out Zembiec Pool’s summer hours and programs. New challenges start in June, and Aqua Aerobics and a Kids Fishing Derby are scheduled for July. See page 11 for details.

Is your family is enrolled in the Exceptional Family Member Program? Zembiec Pool holds an open swim for EFMP families every other Saturday through August 22 in a designated area of the pool. For details, see page 7.

On June 18, the entire joint base comes together for the Urban Warrior Challenge and Joint Base Barbecue. This event has morphed out of the MCCS Pre-Independence Day Picnic and is huge this year. Check our website for details.

Lastly, we hope you have an safe and enjoyable summer. Please take advantage of everything MCCS has to offer, from pool to Outdoor Rec gear, and more.
