DATES TO REMEMBER… LWML Quilters: we will resume quilting on Monday, July 6, with another date two weeks later, Monday, July 20. Both sessions will be from 2-4 p.m. We will practice social distancing. In order to protect those in our group who might be vulnerable, I suggest we wear masks, if possible, realizing that some may not be able to do so. The need for quilts remains high. STEWARDSHIP OPPORTUNITY… The nominating committee is seeking candidates to fill vacancies on CAB, Board of Elders, Program Development and Treasurer. Please help us manage our ministry while sharing your time and talents by serving on a board or committee. Please contact the church office by phone or email, by July 10th. ZION EDUCATIONAL TRUST FUND… This scholarship is available to Zion students attending a synodical school including high school and college. Applications are available in the church office and must be returned by July 31. If you have any questions please call Jan Knop, 697-3299.
2020 GRADUATES... We would like your information for an upcoming bulletin. Information needed for high school grads include name, high school, summer work plans, and college/career/work plans for fall. Please email your information to [email protected] by Wednesday, July 8 or you may mail or drop your info to the church office. 2020 VBS… We will not be having VBS this summer. Please visit Bobbie Jo’s “Children’s Time” to get summer activities. 2020 TRASH TO TREASURE RUMMAGE SALE… We will not be holding our summer rummage sale this year. We appreciate you holding on to items that could have gone in the sale. If you have a place for these items, please store them so they can be used for the sale that will resume in the summer of 2021. SCRIP NEWS… Great News: Firehouse car wash tickets are being accepted at Mister Car Wash until the end of July! Thank you Jim Tacey! We still have 17 tickets left at $5.00 each. The church office is open for you to drop off orders or purchase cards (please call ahead) or after any church service. Order deadline is Mondays by 3 p.m. SCHOOL NEWS… Sign up for the new Cougar Z-newsletter on our website. Registration for school is open for all grades, three-year old preschool through eighth grade. Our school registration is also on our website in the forms section. We will still offer tours and visits for families this summer, but we will ask to tour in the evenings after daycare is done for the day.
