eNtertaiNmeNt & reCreatioN• Saenger Theatre - Reopened September 2013 after a $52 million renovation.

The historical theater hosts major live performances and Broadway stage productions.

• Joy Theater - Reopened in 2012 after a $5 million renovation. Once a single screen movie house, it now hosts live entertainment.

• Lafitte Greenway - A proposed 3.1 mile linear park and bike path that stretches from the French Quarter to Lakeview. $7 million is planned for its development.
