The Boys’ Summer Uniform may be worn in Terms One and Four.
It consists of:
• Girton monogrammed “ink” navy school shorts
• Girton monogrammed white, short-sleeved shirt
• Girton navy blue, striped ankle school socks
• Black lace-up school shoes• Girton bucket hat or cap
Optional in summer:
• Girton Grammar blazer* • Girton burgundy school jumper or vest
* The School Blazer is a compulsory uniform item from Year 6 upwards, however it is optional for all students to wear it with the Summer uniform. The new blazer is still in development.

FAQa) When will the new summer uniform be available
from Boltons?
The new summer garments are expected to be delivered to Boltons before the end of October.
b) How will parents know when it is in stock?
As soon as all stock is in the School will email parents.
We feel that it is best to wait until everything is in rather than have parents go in when some items may not yet be available. If you would like to check availability of any item, please call Boltons directly on 5440 5600.
c) Will there be enough stock at Boltons?
Yes. A full range of uniform items in all sizes has been ordered. If your child wears an extraordinary size, then garments may need to be tailored.
d) Do I have to buy the new summer uniform for my child?
Eventually, yes, but not right away.
e) When will the old summer uniform be phased out?
There will be a three year sunset period where students may continue to wear their old summer uniform.
The old summer uniform may continue to be worn until the end of December 2019.
From 2019 onwards, only the new summer uniform may be worn.
f) Can my child wear one of the new tops with the old shorts, or vice versa?
No. The old and new uniforms may not be mixed.
g) What is better about the new socks?
In keeping with modern design technology the new socks are a far superior quality to the existing ones. They feature “terry towelling” reinforced heels and toes to reduce rubbing and blisters.
h) What is the cost of the new School summer uniform?

i) What happens to the old summer uniforms?
You child may continue to wear their old summer uniform until the end of 2019. After that date it may not be worn at school any longer.
j) My child is leaving Girton. Will they still have to have buy a new summer uniform?
If your child leaves Girton before the end of 2019
there is no need to upgrade to the new summer uniform.
k) Are Boltons still trading in second hand uniforms?
No.
Parents are able to sell, trade or give away uniforms at their own discretion.
A Girton second-hand uniform Facebook group exists for this purpose. The School has no moderation over the trading on this outlet.
