RULES & REGULATIONS

1. K-Farms / Willowbrooke will not be responsible in any way for loss or damage to any person, property, animal or equipment. Each exhibitor shall assume all liability and hold harmless K-Farms and Willowbrooke Farms for any loss, damage or injury to any person, animal or equipment that may be caused by any horse / pony entered by them or due to carelessness or negligence of the person in charge of such horse / pony or any of their subordinates or superiors.

2. STALL FEES are $70.00 per stall. Reservations are accepted on a “first pay, first serve basis”. Stalls will not be reserved without a check! Please call early as the temporary stalls have to be ordered. Non-Showing horses will be charged an additional $35.00. Stabling consists of permanent/ temporary vinyl stalls with doors under a permanent roof. First bedding is not provided, but shavings are available upon request ($9/bag in advance). Stalls will be available at 9:00 A.M. on Friday. Horses coming in early must make arrangements with the management. CALL JENNIFER BLADES (313) 938-9221 FOR STALL RESERVATIONS & SHAVINGS ORDER.

3. There will be a $25 per day grounds fee for horses showing out of trailers.

4. Stall reservations close ONE WEEK BEFORE SHOW, availability will not be guaranteed after this time. You will be charged for stall cancellations after this date. There will be a $25.00 Post Entry Fee per entry for any entry form not received prior to 6pm Friday October 8. No entries will be taken over the phone. Any trainer or exhibitor who cancels all of their stalls will be charged for them regardless of the date.

5. All entry forms must be signed and accompanied by remittance for all fees. Makes checks payable to K-Farm. Entry Fees will be refunded only upon presentation of a veterinarian’s certificate to the secretary, less a $25 scratch fee. Stall fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

7. Protective Headgear: All riders must wear an ASTM/SEI approved riding helmet while mounted anywhere on the show grounds (Professionals included). Any rider violating this rule will be immediately prohibited from further riding until the headgear is properly in place. K-Farm/Willowbrooke and the MHJA make no representation or warranty, expressed or implied, about any protective headgear, and cautions riders that serious injury may result despite wearing protective headgear as all equestrian sports involve an intrinsic element of risk.

8. Please be aware that it is not legal to show a tranquilized horse. Although the MHJA does not drug test at our shows, it is still not permitted. Showing a tranquilized horse is unfair to the other competitor, bad for business and most of all dangerous to the horse and rider! If you are concerned that someone is giving their horse illegal meds, please talk to show management or the RS&G Committee.

9. Management reserves the right to combine, divide or cancel classes if entries warrant or to refuse any entry.

10. Every class offered herein is covered by the rules and regulations of the current MHJA rulebook and will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith.

11. Schooling will be permitted after 10:00 A.M. on Friday and until 1/2 hour prior to the start of the show.

12. In some classes the area of the courtesy circle may be restricted by a mandatory line. This line will be indicated on the course diagram and physically in the ring.

13. Championships will be offered in all Hunter Divisions.

14. There will be a service fee of $30 for any non-negotiable checks.

15. There will be a $5 “Rode Not Entered” fee for riders who exhibit in a class without filling out an add slip with the secretary. DO NOT add or scratch at the gate!!!! No refund of entry fee for classes not properly scratched prior to the start of that class.

16. IMPORTANT: NO EXHIBITOR MAY PARTICIPATE IN A RECOGNIZED DIVISION OF A C-CIRCUIT SHOW IF THEY HAVE JUMPED IN ANY CLASS THAT REQUIRES THE RIDER TO JUMP 3’ OR HIGHER.
