Yarn colors:I use Brazilian Brands' yarns. our default size measures 100g/200m (217 yds). Since different countries measure in different ways You may have to check your yarn size.

• Black;• Brown;

• Gray;• green;• light brown skin.

Materials for the doll:- crochet hook (3.0mm);- scissors;- Fabric glue;- Tapestry needle;- Safety eyes (black, 8mm);- A golden paillette.

Materials for the bow:- A paper clip;- Pliers;- Scissors;- Fabric glue;- A brown thread (I used a cross stitch thread).

To make this pattern you need to know:- how to make a magic circle (also known as magic ring);- Chain stitch;- Single stitch (to increase and decrease);- Slip stitch;- How to change to a different yarn color.

Details- Attach all the parts to the body using thetapestry needle. Be careful when sewing thelegs to the body. Don’t pull the thread toomuch to avoid it from looking like aseparated body part.Remember you have 18 stitches at the bodyto sew the 2 legs, each leg with 9 stitches.

Hair:

1 – Cut a looong brown yarn thread and passit through a tapestry needle. You are going tosew Katniss' hair (like a rudimentaryembroidery) just like you would do for a malehaircut. Try to follow the images bellow whenplacing the threads in order to achieve theexpected results:

2 – Make a yarn braid apart from the rest ofthe amigurumi. I used only 3 threads so thebraid wouldn't look thick. Aim for yourdesired size.

Now sew the braid to the base of the head,as shown above in the picture. Hide thethreads inside the head and cut the tips thatmay still be outside.

3 – To make the fringe, cut two yarn threads and attach them with a simple knot in the

middle of the threads, so there will be four resulting tips. Cut the fringe the way you like it better.

Pin:

The best thing I found to use as a pin was agolden paillette. Use a glue specific for fabricto attach it.

Bow

1 – You are going to use a medium size paperclip. Unfold it and mold it to a bow form. Usepliers to achieve a better result.

2 – Make a simple knot (the same you usewhen starting a crochet chain) and, foldingone of the endings of the clip with pliers, lockthe knot as shown in the picture bellow. Lockit hard so the yarns will not get loose whenyou start crocheting.

3 – Use the clip as you would do with a chain. We will use a single crochet stitch (sc). Insertthe hook in the knot of the previous step.Pass the hook under the clip and yarn overand bring it to the front (you will have twostitches around the hook, the previous andthe just made). Yarn over again, this time notpassing the hook under the clip, and passthrough both stitches.

Do this stitch as many times as needed towrap around the entire clip. The stitches areslippery due to the contact with the metalmaterial, so be patient.

4 – When the bow is completely wrapped, cutthe thread and make a simple knot tofinalize. Using pliers, fold the still unfoldedending of the clip to lock the last stitch.

5 – Use a brown cross stitch thread or otherspecific thread you may like to make thebowstring. Use the clip's folded endings toattach the string and cut the excess.Spread a little glue around the bow's endingsand roll up some yarn to achieve a betterfinishing. Wait for it to dry and cut theexcess. That's it, your bow if finished!

I hope you enjoyed doing this crochet project!

You are free to sell amigurumis created with this pattern but, please, do not redistribute this PDF file. My blog hasseveral free amigurumi patterns.Notice: Don't leave small amigurumi pieces near unattended children due to the risk of swallowing it. Also, keep in mindthat is always better to use antiallergic yarn if the amigurumi is going to be constantly manipulated (used as a toy).
