Discharge sheath currents
The KDL-EMV is a cable entry system made of plastic with a metallized surface.This plate can be used as a trouble-free way to discharge sheath cur-rents from electromagnetic cable shielding.The KDT/Z-EMV cable entry grommet uses a fitted metal braiding to achieve the connection between the cable shielding and the cable entry system.An alternative opportunity to dis-charge sheath currents comes through an additional discharge plate that can mounted onto the existing drilling pattern.

Assembly
Strip wire at the insertion point and lay into grommet (suitable for diameter at the shielding braid). Use cable ties for strain relief where necessary (from 0.39 inch diameter).
Where required, install small sleeves into the adapter grommet.
Insert grommet completely. Fill in empty spaces with dummy grommets.
Join upper and lower part of frame. Fasten with the side screws.
Position housing on cut-out and fasten. Ensure good contact between rail and control cabinet panel.
