The announcement represents a historic breakthrough for peace and reconciliation in the Middle East. With this statement, Israel and the UAE are joining the United States in launching a Strategic Agenda for the Middle East to expand diplomatic, trade and security cooperation. The partnership between America and the Jewish state gives Israel the security it needs to take risks for peace, and the strength of that relationship was instrumental in achieving today’s diplomatic breakthrough. AIPAC applauds Israel and the UAE for their constructive and productive diplomacy in reaching this momentous agreement.
