ISRAEL UPDATE - AUGUST 14, 2020Historic Israel-UAE Agreement AnnouncedToday, the United States, Israel and the United Arab Emirates announced a historic agreement: the establishment of full diplomatic relations between Israel and the UAE. The announcement represents a historic breakthrough for peace and reconciliation in the Middle East. With this statement, Israel and the UAE are joining the United States in launching a Strategic Agenda for the Middle East to expand diplomatic, trade and security cooperation. The partnership between America and the Jewish state gives Israel the security it needs to take risks for peace, and the strength of that relationship was instrumental in achieving today’s diplomatic breakthrough. Participants learn, study and “discover” the communities finest Jewish educators, rabbis, cantors, professors and experts. Thirty classes will be offered throughout the day on a wide range of topics. Rabbis Grussgott and Mandl and our own member, Bill Greenberg will be teaching, among others.
