Learning Objectives:The objectiveofthese three (3) sessions is to provide useful information to attendees to help them better perfinmtheir roles as drinking water operators and commissioners and raihance the opraations at their fiicilities.

Criteria for Training Credits:Following a meal, the training portion ofthe meeting will be conducted. Participants will be granted credit foractual time attending the training session. The maximum number oftraining cr^t horns for these meetings will betwo (2) hours per regional meeting.

#l-Session Title: Northeast Regional MeetingLocation: Reno's Steakhonse, Morehead, KYDate: October 11,2016Time: 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. (EDT)Topic: Advanced Metering Infrastructure and Automatic Meter ReadingSpeaken Tina Odom, PJL, Badger MeterAutomated meter reading technology has been advancing at a rapid pace. This session will cover some ofdie newertechnologies available in meter reading. Topics will include infiastructure free AMI and high resolution encodersand a demonstration ofhow this equipment is helpfril in the day to day use at a utility.

Speaker Bio: Tina Odom, P.E., has been employed by Badger Meter for three years and serves as die SalesSupport Manager. Ms. Odum has a Civil Engineering degree from the University ofCincinnati with a backgroundin water and wastewater design.

The session will continue with theissue of the presence ofalgal and algal blooms in surfrice water and their effiscton water quality.

Speaker Bio: Jim Collins is the Business Development Manager for Brenntag Mid-South, Inc. He has 37 yearsofeiqierience in the industrial chemical industry. He is currently President ofIndiana Industrial OperatorsAssociation, a Registered Industrial Waste Water Professional in Indiana, a Certified Electro Finisher, and is on theBoard ofDirectors of the Indianapolis Branch ofthe National Association ofSur&ce Finishers. Jim holds aBachelor's Degree from Indiana State University - major in marketing - minor in economics.

The various types of leak detectionequipment,how it worics, and when it is bestused wUI be discussed. Spreadsheets covering water loss and methods for determirring leaking water vs used waterwill also be discussed.

Speaker Bio: DeUHarris joined KRWA in September 1997as a CircuitRider. DeU holds an Associate Degreefi^m the Elizabethtown Commxmity CoUege and has both a class IV Distribution Ucense and a class IVA TreatmentUcense. His previous experience includeswoiidng as an operator and Interim General Manager for Hardin Co.Water District#!.
