The current Art Journaling movement is a perfect fit for artists who are interested in many current mediums! In this workshop, you will explore and come to understand art journaling, using both your own words and the words of others. You will prepare the pages of a purchased hardbound journal using paint, paste, mediums, collage and mixed media techniques. These techniques will be layered with informal writing and handwriting, creating intriguing and beautiful pages. Ways to “tip in” photos and other mementos will be presented, along with many other techniques. Your completed Art Journal can be a piece of art on its own or it can serve as a sketch/plan/idea book for more formal works that you may choose to create.
