The session on Robo Advice in the Workplace, and whether it can be seen as an opportunity or threat, is highly topical. The Hon Josh Frydenberg MPFederal Member for Kooyong Assistant Treasurer
Josh is the federal member for Kooyong having been first elected to the seat in 2010 and re-elected at the 2013 election. He is the seventh person since Federation to hold this seat. Josh is also the Assistant Treasurer.
As a primary school student Josh attended Bialik College in Hawthorn and then completed his secondary schooling at Mt Scopus College in Burwood. He currently lives with his family, in Hawthorn.
Josh has Law and Economics degrees both with Honours from Monash University and completed his articles of clerkship at Mallesons Stephen Jacques.
He went on to graduate with a Masters in International Relations from Oxford University where he attended on a Commonwealth Scholarship and a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
Josh is also a former Senior Adviser to Foreign Minister Alexander Downer and Prime Minister John Howard and was a Director of Global Banking at Deutsche Bank AG.
Josh is a keen tennis player having represented Australia at the World University Games in England in 1991 and the United States in 1993.
He currently sits on the Board of the Kids Tennis Foundation which provides coaching to disadvantaged kids.
Kerry ChikarovskiGovernment Relations Advisor
One of the country’s most respected and admired former female politicians, Kerry ‘Chika’ Chikarovski, is a former NSW Opposition leader and the first woman to lead a major political party in the state of New South Wales (1999-2002).
In 2003 Chika retired from politics and the following year launched her co-authored autobiography, Chika.
Her government relations business, Chikarovski & Associates, which she started in 2003, continues to achieve excellent results for her clients. With her strong political background and vast experience in dealing with government and bureaucracy, Chika and her team advise across a range of industry sectors on policy and regulatory issues, as well as in relation to major projects and procurements.
Today Chika is a highly sought after political and media commentator, keynote speaker, Master of Ceremonies, Board Director and Ambassador.
She is Chair of NSW Women’s rugby union and Road Safety Education (RSE). She is a Board Director of New South Wales rugby union, Adopt Change, Humpty Dumpty Foundation and Our Watch.
Chika is also a proud ambassador for YWCANSW and Australian Indigenous Education Foundation (AIEF).

Chris Wrightson CEO Centurion Market Makers
Chris Wrightson is recognised as an industry leader in sale and succession planning for financial planning firms.
He started his career in the 80’s as an adviser, sold his practice in 1993 and moved into business management with his last role as General Manager at MLC. In a previous role at Ipac Chris headed the team responsible for acquiring equity in planning practices throughout Australia. The Ipac Equity Partner program was the first of its kind within the industry and it provided short and long term succession solutions for many practice owners.
While working at Ipac Chris identified that most practice owners don’t know what their business is really worth and many fail to maximise their business value and reduce the risks in a transaction due to a lack of knowledge. Chris’s experience at Ipac and since then has shown a consistent common problem – Most Practice owners know what they don’t know - the problem is “what they don’t know they don’t know” and it can cost them thousands or hundreds of thousands of dollars in business value in a transaction.
In 2008 Chris founded Centurion Market Makers to advise practice owners on sale and succession planning. Since then he has provided advice, presentations and workshops to hundreds of practice owners, Licensees, Product and Platform providers.

Warren ChantCEO Chant West
Warren established Chant West in 1997, primarily to advise medium to large employers on outsourcing their superannuation funds. Chant West is now one of Australia’s leading suppliers of superannuation research.
Warren has overall responsibility for the firm’s research and methodology, and has a special interest in investments. He is a well-regarded commentator on superannuation issues.
Warren qualified as a chartered accountant before moving into investment banking, where he held senior positions with Capel Court and Dominguez Barry.
Warren has an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland.
