Ggly eyed fun
DIY Googly Eyes
Method
Line 2 cookie sheets with baking paper to ensure your
eyes don’t stick to the tray.
In a large mixing bowl, beat together icing sugar, Pavlova
Magic and cold water for 3 -5 minutes. The icing should
be smooth and of a medium consistency – when you drop
some off the spoon, it should slowly drop into the bowl.
Reserve about 2/3 cup mixture into a separate piping bag
and drop 3-4 drops of the food colouring to make the
black mixture.
Fill a pastry bag with the rest of the white mixture and
start making dots on your baking paper. Ensure any
peaks are at the top of the dots, as these will deflate and
keep a round circle when drying.
Repeat until all the mixture is used.
With your black mixture, return to the first eye and place
a drop in the centre of each eye.

You can also use different colour decorating gel to make more personalised eyes – blue, green and brown all work well.
