Alcohol is widely used in hand sanitising gels not only in health care settings but also in other areas that involve hand hygiene. Ethanol is considered an effective substance against a large spectrum of microorganisms which can linger on the skin. Health care systems and infection control organisations have advocated the routine use of alcohol hand sanitising gel for many years.
Aloe Vera Leaf Juice contains antioxidant vitamins and amino acids that fight free radicals and help moisturise, brighten and tone the skin resulting in firmer, hydrated skin. Its anti-inflammatory, moisturising, emollient, and antimicrobial actions are known to reduce irritation and redness and help to soothe the skin.
Glycerine is available naturally in vegetable oils. It absorbs moisture from the air to keep the skin well-toned, moisturised and hydrated. It is a humectant (helps to retain water) and it readily absorbs water from other sources. In part, Glycerin works because of its ability to attract water from the environment and from the lower layers of the skin (dermis) increasing the amount of water in the surface layers of the skin to keep skin well-toned, moisturised and hydrated. Glycerine strengthens the skin barrier by increasing the thickness of the epidermal layer to improve barrier function. This means that the harmful chemicals stay out of the skin and moisture stays in.
Purified Water (Aqua) is used in Ovelle products to hydrate the skin. The Purified Water used in the formulation of our Hand Sanitiser Gel complies with the European Pharmacopoeia for Purified Water Ph.Eur. All water used in Ovelle formulations goes through a process to remove components that could interfere with a product’s stability and performance. Ovelle control the quality of water throughout the production, storage and distribution processes, including microbiological and chemical quality. Our purified water is specially filtered to remove unwanted organic impurities in the incoming water Chloride(Cl-), Fluoride, Water Hardness, sodium (Na+), potassium (K+), calcium (Ca2+) and magnesium (Mg2+) plus metal ions from the pipes such as lead, iron and copper.
Acrylates C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer/Carbomer, a series of polymers primarily made from acrylic acid to help control the viscosity and act as a texture enhancer in the product.
PRECAUTIONS: Flammable Liquid and Vapour. Causes serious eye irritation. Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Get immediate medical advice/attention. IF SWALLOWED: Rinse mouth.
