FOREIGN KIS Fee Schedule 2017-18 / / Grade K-8 // New The Foreign Fee Schedule is charged for: Students whose financial provider is employed outside India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan or Sri Lanka. Students whose financial provider is not a citizen of India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan or Sri Lanka, but is employed and/or living within these countries. The financial provider is defined as the parent or legal guardian. The Fee is billed in US$. KIS Fee Security Deposit Payable by bank transfer or demand draft upon acceptance of KIS admission offer. Refundable when students leave KIS, subject to school regulations regarding penalty (non-return of textbooks, music instruments, KIS properties) and the adjustment of dues, if any. No interest will be paid on this deposit. KIS cannot hold places for students who have not paid security deposits or do not meet payment deadlines. Security deposits will be retained by KIS for six weeks after student departure to clear all accounts. Security deposits may not be used against final payment of fees or accounts. Development Fee For new students accepted and enrolled in grades k-8, KIS Development Fee shall be payable prior to or at the time of enrollment. Alumni Services Fee An Alumni Services Fee will be charged on admission to cover alumni annual publications and postage, access to alumni directory and related expenses. Annual Fee Includes: Tuition - Covers course fees and use of texts, library books, computers, science laboratory equipment and certain classroom supplies. Boarding - Dormitory accommodation. Food Services - All meals, morning coffee and afternoon tea. Activities - Admission to “All School” programs. Student Government - Class funds and Student Council for Grades 7-12. Advisor Events - Advisors hosting meals for advisees. Music Tuition Policy - All students are provided with instruction in one musical instrument of their choice free of charge. Facilities and Amenities - The use and maintenance of all KIS buildings, equipment, etc. Fees for Semester 1 (July) and Semester 2 (January) are payable by the final day of the previous semester. A penalty calculated at the rate of 12% per annum will be charged from the due date to the date of payment on the outstanding balance if the payment is not made by the due date. Students with accounts in arrears at the end of KIS academic year and who have not paid their fees for the next academic year or semester will not be allowed to return to KIS the following academic year or semester until accounts have been settled. Other Expenses These will be charged extra and are not included in KIS Annual Fee: Where more expensive classroom supplies are provided, costs may be charged. Presently these classes include Art, Home Economics, Industrial Arts and Photography. Field Trips are part of KIS academic program and are planned as an integral part of the curriculum. Students are expected to participate in field trips for which parents will be charged. Parents will be charged for repairs or replacements to school property or other equipment and lost textbooks by students found to be responsible. Personal supplies, laundry (dhobi) costs, vouchers for purchasing items, Gymkhana (snack bar), long weekend allowance, travel allowance and for cash purchases. Penalty New students - After the acceptance of admission, even if the student does not actually take his/her place in the school, a penalty of 50% of the security deposit will be levied. No refund will be given as of the first day of school.

The Foreign Fee Schedule is charged for:

• StudentswhosefinancialproviderisemployedoutsideIndia,Bangladesh,Bhutan,Nepal,PakistanorSriLanka.

• StudentswhosefinancialproviderisnotacitizenofIndia,Bangladesh,Bhutan,Nepal,PakistanorSriLanka,butisemployedand/orlivingwithinthesecountries.

• Thefinancialproviderisdefinedastheparentorlegalguardian.

KIS Fee

Security Deposit

PayablebybanktransferordemanddraftuponacceptanceofKISadmissionoffer.RefundablewhenstudentsleaveKIS,subjecttoschoolregulationsregardingpenalty(non-returnoftextbooks,musicinstruments,KISproperties)andtheadjustmentofdues,ifany.Nointerestwillbepaidonthisdeposit.KIScannotholdplacesforstudentswhohavenotpaidsecuritydepositsordonotmeetpaymentdeadlines.SecuritydepositswillberetainedbyKISforsixweeksafterstudentdeparturetoclearallaccounts.Securitydepositsmaynotbeusedagainstfinalpaymentoffeesoraccounts.

Development Fee

Fornewstudentsacceptedandenrolledingradesk-8,KISDevelopmentFeeshallbepayablepriortooratthetimeofenrollment.

Alumni Services Fee

AnAlumniServicesFeewillbechargedonadmissiontocoveralumniannualpublicationsandpostage,accesstoalumnidirectoryandrelatedexpenses.

Annual Fee

Includes:

Withdrawal

1.ParentsareexpectedtoinformKISAdmissionsofficeinwritingby1Aprilor1Octoberiftheyintendtowithdrawanystudentwithoutpenaltyforthenextsemester.

2.ParentsfailingtoinformKISAdmissionsofficeinwritingbytheabove-mentioneddatesshallbeliabletopayonemonths’consolidatedfeeifnoticeisgivenafter1Aprilor1October,butbeforetheendofthecurrentsemester.

3.ParentsinformingKISAdmissionsofficeinwritingduringvacationtimeofstudentwithdrawalwitheffectfromthefollowingsemester,shallbeliabletopaytwomonths’consolidatedfees.

4.ParentsinformingKISAdmissionsofficein writing of student withdrawal from thefirstdayofnewsemesterclassesshallbeliabletopaythreemonths’consolidatedfees.

5.Studentsfailingtojoinclasseswithin 48 hours of KIS commencement of classeswithoutadequateandjustifiablereasonshallbeliabletolosetheirplacesattheschool.

6.Nofees,partialorfull,willberefunded if students are withdrawn orrequiredtoleaveKISduringasemesterforanyreason.

Fee Changes

Notificationofanyfeechangeswillbegivenbefore31Decemberoftheprecedingacademicyear.
