PROGRAM

Mustang! (Concert March) Eric OsterlingPublished in the 1960's by the "Modern March King", this march features atheatrical concert march style.

Fortress Variations Tim WatersUsing the familiar hymn, "A Mighty Fortress i> Our God" as a foundation, an ingenious setof variations has been woven to form a significant concert work for symphonic band.Listen for the opening fanfare statement of home and strength, the turbulent middlesection depicting a mighty structure, standing strong in the heat of battle, and the finalsection with sounds of triumph, heroism and victory.

Cajun Folk Songs - "La Belle et It Capitaine" tf "Belle" Frank TicheliComposed as a tribute to the people of the old Cajun folksong culture, the two songs inthis composition are based on original folksongs recorded in 1934 in South Louisianafor the "Archive of Folk Music" in the Library of Congress.

Pas Redouble (Double-Quick Step) Camille Saint-Saens, Op. 86This piece is a fast concert march reminiscent of Offenbach. It was originally writtenfor 4-hand piano in 1887.
