Announcements
Heck-Jones Offering - The week of prayer for Heck-Jones is February 9th-15th, but we will collect your offering throughout the month of February. Backpack Buddies - Thank you ALL for the ongoing food donations you provide for Backpack Buddies. The weekend meals are going to children at Knightdale Elementary School who might otherwise have little or no food from Friday until they return to school Monday morning. We need lots of kid-friendly non-perishable food items to maintain this ministry (a grocery list can be found in the vestibule for you to take home). The food collection bins are located in the Education Building and the vestibule of the Sanctuary. Thank you again for supporting this ministry. KBC BBQ & Bazaar - The date for the big event is set for Saturday, May 16th, so mark your calendars. Lots of items are needed for the silent and live auction and now is the time to be looking and asking for donations. This committee needs everyone collecting/donating items for it to succeed. If you utilize a service a lot, such as, nail salon, hair salon, auto-mechanic, exterminator, etc., please consider asking them for a donation to our auction - never hurts to ask! Also, does anyone own a home or timeshare at the beach or the mountains? If you do, would you please consider donating a weekend or a weeks’ stay to the auction? Ask for Savings Bonds where you bank, or ask for green fees and a cart where you golf - you get the idea! Personnel Committee Meeting - Monday, February 16th at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room. Cemetery Committee Meeting - Monday, February 16th at 7:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Finance Committee Meeting - Tuesday, February 17th at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room. Weathers/Knight Circle - Thursday, February 19th at 10:45 am in the Conference Room. Deacon’s Meeting - Monday, March 2nd at 7:00 pm in the Conference Room. The Spring Senior Adult Rally is Tuesday, March 24th at Central Baptist Church, 11109 Poole Rd., Wendell. Registration begins at 9:00 am and the program begins at 9:30 am. The guest speaker will be Bryan Mims, general assignment reporter for WRAL-TV & writer for Our State magazine. Other guests will be the Damascus Ridge, a bluegrass gospel band based in NC with a goal to spread the word of Christ through song into the hearts of many. The cost is $12.00. If you would like to go, please get your payment into the office no later than Sunday, March 8th. Please make checks payable to the Raleigh Baptist Association. The menu is: Chicken & Dumplings, Steamed Cabbage, Candied Yams, Cornbread, Chocolate Pie, Carrot Cake, and Tea.
Announcements
Fellowship Hall and FLC Use - If your class sponsors Koffee Before Church, please make sure the Fellowship Hall is cleaned afterward. Please wash all dishes and put them away (so dishes are not left in the drainer), put items back in their places and take the dishcloths home to wash. These few simple rules should be followed by all groups using the Fellowship Hall and will leave the kitchen clean and ready for the next group to use. Also, if your group uses the Family Life Center or has an event, please make sure the garbage is taken out (especially if leftover food has been left in the garbage cans) and the floor is swept. Your help in keeping our church clean is appreciated! Cindy and Dale Russell’s daughter, Shannon Liles and her husband, Philip, are in the process of adopting a baby. As you know, adoption is extremely expensive. If you would like to help Shannon and Philip in raising funds to adopt the child that God has chosen for them, you can make a donation at www.youcaring.com using Shannon and Philip Liles in the subject box. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Senior Adult Valentine Banquet
Today
immediately following Worship
in the Fellowship Hall
The youth will serve the seniors a meal and entertainment will be
provided. This year we will have Zack and Brittany Jackson per-
form music for us. They have performed in years past and have
done an excellent job. Please come enjoy this time together.
Thank You
A thank you card was received from Jeffrey Ferrell, Elaine Ferrell Castleberry and Hank Ferrell. They say, “Words cannot express our gratitude for the many acts of kindness expressed by so many of you during Mama’s life and her death. Your visits and cards reinforced her love for KBC and its people. She missed worshipping there and being an active member. From “Pete” organizing the meal after her service, the many hands that prepared it and served it, to the phone calls, cards and other expressions of kindness … we say, ‘Thank You.’” The card is on the bulletin board in the Education Building.

Also, if you have a change in the schedule for the children’s nursery or children’s church, please contact the monthly coordinator so that the change can be made prior to the printing of the worship bulletin.
