MEKU – burner case L-max 90 The burner case L max 90 – a new MEU development– completes the article range of blue flame-mixing facilities which belong to the MB 800 and MB 900 product series. The name L-max 90 is a universal steel sheet burner case in welded execution with performance increasing inside features. A bayonet catch flame tubes can be fitted with a max. diameter of 90 mm. The L-max 90 case configuration is based on the principle of the approved hybrid fan technology. The result shows that the ventilator, despite its small and compact style, satisfies all physical requirements to realize burner performances in combination with a blue flame mixing system (e.g. MB 800/900) from 14 till at least 50 kW. The L-max 90 case is particularly designed for outfitters who would like to save development costs and tool investments for an own high performance burner case. You have the choice to purchase the L-max 90 as an individual component or as a complete package combined with the MEKU blue flame mixing systems MB 800, MB 900 or MBK 900. The package contains all parts of sheet metal that are needed for the complete construction and for the boiler connection of a burner. The burner hood is not part of the delivery.
The L-max 90 burner case has to be equipped with a ventilator wheel of the size 133 x 52 L-E. The upper static (0 flow) limited value of fan pressure amounts nearly up to 20 hPa. For the individual adaptation of the fan performance, e.g. for the use of Low-NOx or yellow flame mixing facilities, the static fan pressure can be reduced to about 10 hPa by an air regulating plate sucking sided. The fine adjustment specific to the company requirements will be carried out on the discharge side via a well-arranged linear gate. The operation and fixation of all adjusting elements can be handled with one single tool.

MEKU Blue-flame mixing unit MB ... As a leading European manufacturer of high-precision mixing units for the oil and gas burner industry MEKU has invested several years in high innovative development projects. The realization of reliable and technically high-quality burning systems is the central aspect. Supported by an efficient, practice oriented sample production every component is tested and optimized systematically. The results are evaluated with the help of modern test and measuring techniques in the own laboratory. The MB blue-flame mixing unit is the youngest result of intensive development work out of the house MEKU. The special qualities with regard to a practice-oriented handling, high operational safety and lowest exhaust gas pollution are outstanding. In addition the MB is connectable to all boilers and burners suitable for blue flame running. The impressive MEKU MB technology set the start for a new generation of low-emission burning systems for liquid fuel. Blue flame – built up immediately The MEKU blue-flame mixing unit MB/MBK starts with high recirculation volume immediately into the low-emission stationary operation state. Despite this starting modus a safe flame formation is ensured. Due to this quality the MB-mixing units are very well suitable also for later installation at existing firing facilities primarily in connection with customary burner cases.
The appearance - MB/MBK Due to the burning specific orientation the proportions of the MB /MBK seem rather unconventional. In combination with extensive recirculation openings a large-volume flame tube permits a very stable operating state also at low NOx values. The modular style of the MB series makes service and storekeeping easy. The base mixing unit is suitable for each burner size. By easily interchangeable air nozzles with graded opening diameters the total performance capacity of the burner can be completely used. Furthermore the modular design of the MB-mixing units offers the possibility of an individual adaptation to the most different boiler or burner versions. The MBK series stands out due to a greater range of capacity and is particularly suitable for demanding combustion chamber geometries. Furthermore the MBK was designed for both variations: it can be equipped with conventional flame- supervisory-systems (IRD, UVD) as well as alternatively with a ignition and ionization supervision-facility in combination. Besides a variable adjustment a firm adjustment of the recirculation openings is possible with a spring-equipped nozzle stick.

Umpteen times approved: the MEKU – blue flame mixing unit in detail
The well developed MB technology which primarily stands out for the unproblematic adaptability to customer needs makes the blue burner absolutely capable for single use. In this technology MEKU gained experiences for more than a decade.
,
The principle of the MEKU blue fire-mixing facilities MB/MBK is based on the proved method of the spin supported flame stabilization in combination with a low atmospheric pressure exhaust gas recirculation. An approved basic element is the maintenance-free adjusting mechanics by which you have to adjust the recirculation openings only once before first start-up. This special method of an exhaust gas volume optimization was used by MEKU with a blue flame system serially for the first time. It is required only once to position the mixing head in the burner specific adapter tube, this means the burner is brought into line with the given fire room conditions. The result is lowest NOx emission with an almost linear course over the complete range of capacity. Another essential element is the air nozzle (at the MB series interchangeable) with the integrated spin grid which leads the complete combustion air tangentially around the oil nozzle. This air nozzle has several functions. It causes a very good cooling of the oil nozzle and the air spin supports the fuel pulverization and distribution. Moreover, it delivers the air stream energy which produces a low atmospheric pressure zone around the flame base in connection with the flame tube so that the necessary amount of exhaust gas will be sucked by the recirculation openings. In addition, the spinning air is supporting the flame stabilization so that no flame holder is required. Depending on the position of the mixing head in the adapter tube (to be determined accordingly) the dosage ring alternatively the guide jar covers the recirculation openings more or less. Therefore the exhaust gas recirculation rate can optimally be brought appropriately into line with the respective combustion chamber and efficiency ratios. As a result the pollutant substances are reduced to lowest values in the exhaust gas.
