Welcome to the 10th issue of our newsletter ‘Kothopokothon’.

"Kothopokothon", the newsletter, is our way of thanking and appreciating you for being with us and for letting us have the opportunity to provide you information about our cutting edge services. It is our great pleasure to inform you that Airtel Bangladesh Limited has introduced a new service. From now on, our customers can use alternate channels such as internet banking, online payments and ATM booths to pay post-paid bills and pre-paid recharge provided they have an account in the respective banks. For online payment, customers need to possess a VISA or a MasterCard.

Our primary motive has always been to provide world class service to our customers. And to make their lives easier, we have introduced the ‘Airtel Doorstep Service’, which enables our customers to enjoy a variety of services sitting at their homes. Purchasing new SIM, replacement of SIM, etc. can now be done from home. Airtel users can also pay their WASA bills at Airtel Experience Centers through the FSIBL FirstPay SureCash mobile banking account.

We have enhanced our ‘Shobai Ek’ plan and have also introduced a new plan ‘Shobai F&F’, where customers can talk at F&F rate to all numbers. With this new package, the customers will enjoy ½ paisa/sec to all Airtel numbers and 1 paisa/sec to other operators. They will also get a preloaded talktime of BDT 10; free Facebook and W hatsapp; 300 MB data and 1000 SMS free for 90 days. In addition to this, our customers will be enjoying unlimited validity with their new prepaid connection.

The ‘Shobai Ek’ of Airtel has now evolved to ‘Shobai Ek – Sharajibon’ with a lifetime validity as a major augmentation along with data and SMS benefits to cater to our growing customer base.

With a commitment to customer satisfaction at the core, Airtel has revamped data portfolio for their prepaid and postpaid customers to provide them with the most competitive value for money mobile data solution. This renovation to their existing Data plans will provide better speed, higher validity and extra volume in the most competitive prices for the customers. Airtel further introduces free twitter for all their subscribers. Smart plans for the postpaid customers have also been introduced to enhance the customer satisfaction by providing innovative yet simple offers.

We are proud to share that Airtel Bangladesh Limited has won Mobile Money Global Award 2014 for their Mobile Financial Service (MFS). Every year the global leaders in mobile banking get recognized through this Award for their achievements in driving the uptake of mobile financial services across the globe. On the other hand, Airtel official fan page, Airtel Buzz, won the acclaim for being the smartest story teller in the world for the quarter June-August 2014, beating all of local and foreign competitors across the globe.

We were also the proud sponsor of Dhaka Comicon 2014, the third comic book convention that was held in Bangladesh. Airtel Bangladesh Limited ran different interesting competitions in the venue and had 3G experience booths where Data Gurus demonstrated Airtel’s fastest internet.

This year Airtel signed corporate agreement with ENA properties and Azad Fibres Private Limited. They further inked a corporate deal with Turag Garments and Hosiery Mills Limited. Recently another corporate agreement also took place with Asian Group of Industries.

Airtel introduces “Shobai Ek’ with a new plan “Shobai F&F”, where customers can talk at F&F rate to all numbers. With the “Shobai F&F” plan, new Prepaid customers can enjoy ½ paisa/second to all airtel numbers and 1 paisa/second to any other operators. New customers will also get a preloaded talktime of BDT 10; free Facebook, free Whatsapp, 300 MB data, 1000 SMS for 90 days.

The new customer has to recharge BDT 19 to get this offer. Existing customers can also enjoy this tariff plan by recharging BDT 99. Airtel Bangladesh ltd launched “Shobai Ek” plan on 14th September, revolutionizing the tariff game with a simple and transparent solution.

Airtel further enhanced the “Shobai Ek” plan by adding unlimited validity of 1p/s tariff as a core feature. Airtel is the only operator to offer unlimited validity for it’s new Prepaid customers. All new airtel Prepaid customers will enjoy 1 paisa/ sec flat rate. Airtel Bangladesh Limited has improved the simple tariff plan ‘Shobai Ek’ with lifetime validity as a major augmentation, evolving into ‘Shobai Ek Sharajibon’ along with data and sms benefits to cater to their growing customer base.

‘Shobai Ek’ was launched on 24th September this year, creating a massive stir in the market by revolutionizing the tariff game with simple and transparent solution. This solution was initially designed for voice users, offering a unit rate of 1 paisa/sec, day and night, to all operators in Bangladesh. As Airtel Bangladesh Ltd. constantly strives to deliver supreme quality for customers, we have devised an evolutionary pathway for ‘Shobai Ek’ by adding lifetime validity as a core feature for the new users of ‘Shobai Ek Sharajibon’, simplifying the plan further.

The plan is available to both new and existing customers. All new Airtel customers will enjoy 1 paisa/ sec flat rate with a lifetime validity by default, additionally they will also receive 1000 SMS, 100 MB data and a preloaded talktime worth BDT 10, inclusive of SIM purchase. With a recharge of BDT 19 within 7 days of purchasing the SIM, subscribers will enjoy half paisa per second to all on-net calls and 1 paisa per second to all off-net calls for 90 days. Existing customers will get validity for 30 days and 90 days upon 24tk and 66tk recharge respectively with .05 paisa/sec for on-net calls.

We have introduced a value for money mobile data plan for the market. It is an innovative approach where our existing data plans have been overhauled and is applicable for both Prepaid and Postpaid customers.

Our new data plans will provide Prepaid and Postpaid customers with better speed, higher validity and extra volume at a very attractive price. Now data customers, both Prepaid and Postpaid can enjoy 1GB volume at BDT 199 only, it is valid for one month and is the lowest price offered in the market where customers can save BDT 86. Both Prepaid & Postpaid customers can get 2GB volume with only BDT 350, valid for 1 month. The data packs can be used both in 2G and 3G modes. Heavy Facebook users can enjoy 120MB Facebook pack for BDT 10 with a validity of 3 days. Due to no speed limit in our data plans, customers can enjoy the highest speed for data.

3G will be activated automatically upon purchasing 3G plans via USSD or SMS. For recharge packs, customer needs to dial *121*555#. For details and to know about other data plans, customer can dial *121*7#

airtel Bangladesh has  won the   prestigious Mobile Money & Digital Payments Global Awards. Every year the global leaders in mobile banking  get recognized through this Award for their achievements in  driving the uptake  of mobile financial services across the globe.

Airtel’s initiative of connecting all Mobile Financial Service (MFS) providers under one USSD short code *400# and other collaboration with MFS partners have been awarded under the “Collaboration Commendation Award Category”. The  other two nominees in our category were UBank Pakistan and CitiBank (global ). The winner was announced on 20th November’14 at a global event in Istanbul.

Socialbakers is the most popular provider of social media analytic tools, statistics and metrics for Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus, YouTube and LinkedIn. Socialbakers has recently launched a new benchmark called “Smart Storytellers”, the new standard for measuring Facebook content performance. Almost all the brands in the Telecom category that is on Facebook were on the list of nominees. The page posts everything that a youth would like to see on their newsfeed, which is the key to Buzz’s success. The page has high engagement in their posts because of its refreshing contents. The page also communicates all the new offers to the fans and provides answers to customer queries regularly. The page earned a rating of “AA” on the 468 post s it shared during the quarter. Each of these 468 posts had an average 9,099 interactions (engagement), four times more interaction compared to the 2nd smartest story teller.

Airtel Bangladesh Ltd teamed up with Dhaka Comicon team for the 2nd time. The third installment was titled ‘Dhaka Comicon 2014: The Age of Brilliance’, the event was organized at Chairmanbari field, Banani, in the capital on Thursday, 11th December, 2014. Airtel sponsored the exhibition along with Radio Foorti as a media partner. Saadi Rahman and Syed Abu Yousuf, both of whom are comic enthusiasts and active collectors are the organizers of the event.

The convention was held for 3 days, there were live art competitions, short film competitions, toy display museum, gaming events, cosplay competition and many other exciting activities including musical performances by popular musicians.

WITH MULTIPLEORGANIZATIONS Airtel Bangladesh Limited, has signed a

corporate agreement with ENA Properties. With this agreement, Airtel will provide ENA Properties with Airtel’s corporate Voice, Data service, business related Value Added Service and Bulk SMS services.

Airtel Bangladesh Limited, has recently signed a corporate agreement with Azad Rifat Fibres Private Limited, The company has more than 5000 employees and a yearly turnover of BDT 900 crore. Azad Rifat Fibers Pvt. Ltd. has chosen Airtel as their secondary operator in order to move away from its primary mobile operator. Under this agreement, Airtel is providing the RMG giant with the most competitive international roaming rates, voice and date services.

Airtel Bangladesh Limited, has inked a corporate deal with Turag Garments & Hosiery Mills Limited in Dhaka recently. Under this agreement, Airtel Bangladesh Limited will provide Turag Garments & Hosiery Mills Limited with Airtel’s voice, bulk SMS, business related VAS and data services.

Airtel Bangladesh Limited, has recently signed a corporate agreement with Asian Group of Industries. They have more than 10000 employees. The company has a yearly turnover of 1000 crore Taka. The company also has six sister concerns named Asian telecasting Ltd( Asian TV), Asian Textile Mills ltd,  Asian fabrics Mill Ltd, Asian Specialized Textile Mills Ltd, Father textile Mills Ltd and Asian Yarn dyeing Ltd. GP is their primary operator and recently they have decided to switch on to Airtel Bangladesh initially with 100 subscriptions.

Recently we organized "Corporate Service Camp" and engaged with our valued corporate customers. It was an interactive session where our customers were able to share their views about airtel and understand more about our products and services. Customers were delighted experiencing the unlimited 3G speed of our internet. The camp also highlighted Online Airtel Experience Centre, Enterprise bulk SMS, Hawk-Eye, 3G devices, International Roaming and other corporate VAS. We really appreciate the positive feedback from the participants and hope that our dedication and hard work will continuously delight our valued customers.

AIRTEL SIGNS CORPORATEAGREEMENT WITH

SOFTWARE SHOP LIMITED (SSL)

Airtel Bangladesh Limited, the fastest growing telecom opera-tor of the country, has signed a corporate agreement with Software Shop Limited (SSL) on Sunday, March 1st, 2015. The agreement took place at Airtel’s head office in Banani, Tajwar Center.

Through this agreement Airtel has ensured that its customers can now pay their bill and can recharge their account from Airtel’s website www.bd.airtel.com, its Online Airtel Experience Centre and Airtel Buzz using their VISA/Master Debit and Credit card. The payment will be updated to Airtel’s system on real time basis and Software Shop Ltd. (SSL) will provide full technical support for this service.
