Issue 05042013 April 2013 KMNY Welcomes: Krav Maga Westchester & Krav Maga Orange County Nation News We recently integrated a Member portal to the KMNY website. The portal allows students to access training material, view or edit their profile, edit bill payment options, shop for apparel, close out and Shaklee backed nutritional products, and even purchase membership plans. To access the portal, visit www.kmny.us, select “Students” from the navigation bar, sign in (or register if you haven’t yet) and you’ll be redirected to the Member portal. Note that you will have to reset your password on kmny.us. To take full advantage of the Member portal, you’ll need to login to that portal using the password emailed to you through Zen Planner. This login is separate and apart from the KMNY Student page log in On April 24 th and 25, Krav Maga NY’s Force Training Team ran two separate 4 hour training segments at the New York Tactical Officers Association annual expo. This year’s training focused on both Krav Maga basics and Long Gun defense and retention. One attendant had this to say: The class was outstanding. You guys were professional and fun… I'm looking forward to next year’s conference and hope to see you there. Here’s a partial listing of upcoming events: On Sunday April 14 th , Krav Maga NY will be running a 2 hour Krav Maga training session at the Pleasantville Community Synagogue. On May 21 st , Westchester’s County Bully Expert, a Krav Maga NY affiliate, will run an all day training session on behalf of NYS Department of Social Services to benefit foster parents. On may 31 st , Krav Maga NY will once again present self-defense concepts to Walter Panas HS seniors on Senior Day, making this our 3 rd invite in 3 years. This summer, The Bully Expert will once again run Bully camps to benefit community parents and kids. Camp dates however remain to be determined. On Sep. 4 th Krav Maga NY’s Force Training Team will travel to Virginia for 3 days to run training segments at the 1 st Annual Tactical Operators Training Conference. Training This Month: In case anyone doubts the validity, the efficacy, or the reality of what is taught by KMNY, the weapons drills we practiced two weeks ago were exactly the same as what I learned as a soldier in the IDF. Nation News We recently integrated a Member portal to the KMNY website.
